Gay book ban

They can neutral as soon they are neutral about heterosexuality as well, as in never mention that. Don't say a word about the birds and the bees, dating, marriage, ban all cheerleaders, proms and such like as they promote heterosexuality.

Homosexuality can't be "promoted" because it's not something you choose to be. If you "promote" something you try to encourage other people to take it up. You can promote, say, Christianity, because people can choose to become Christians. You can promote, say, the Democratic party, because people can choose to vote for it or join it. You can't promote homosexuality because people can't choose to become homosexuals. It's something you either are or you are not.

I'm puzzled by the article's mention of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" as a potential victim of this insane bill proposal. There are no gay characters in that book, as far as I remember. Or is it enough for a book to have been written by a gay person? So much for Plato, then...

This is by no way the end of my opinions about this, but I don't wish to thread jack.
So I'll just say this:
[irony]Poor you, it must have bee so traumatic for you. Absolutely let's ban schools from mentioning homosexuality so that any heterosexual teenage boys won't be traumatised.[/irony]

Well, if you talk about it, you either Promote or Condemn it to varius degrees.

Zero is a degree. I can readily talk about something while neither promoting it nor condemning it.

And wasn't Alabama also the place with that 10 Commandments judge?

Was being the main word. He is now not a judge.

Sodomy

Thirteen states make it a crime for an unmarried man and woman to engage in consensual sodomy in private (which is defined as oral or anal sex or both): Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah, and Virginia fall into this category. A handful of states only prohibit sodomy between individuals of the same sex.

LMAO And how will they find out about this 'crime'?

At least this guy has the guts to put his money where his mouth is, very rare in politians these days. I hestitate to agree or disagree with his proposal however, simply because I do not not know where the man's heart is.

his anus is obviously where his mouth should be,that much for organ placements.
why dont they make a law against that?

Wrong, my mom was friends with someone growing up, and he was Gay, that guy moved away, but a few years later the guy returned and saw my mom one last time, and told her that the gay lifestyle was wrong, and that he'd had enough of it(He became a Christian). All things are a choice. Sometimes I myself am attracted to pictures of men on TV or otherwise, but I fight it. I know better

The sex police, of course! (j/k)

Actually, I'm not sure. How many people have actually been charged with it?

The law will most likely never actually pass... but hey, it's Alabama, whatta you expect?

Dude, if you are aroused by images of men, you are gay.

Fight it if you want, I guess. Live your life in misery holding out for the wonderful hereafter.

What a nut, that's just what we need, more stupid homophobes. This guy should be locked up, his next bill will probobly propose "elimination of gays" people like this guy scare me.

I guess he meant just attracted and not aroused. Like high school kids who just got beat get attracted to Bruce Lee. :)

Well, I pity you, even though you don't want my pity. I hope some day you see the light (irony intended), and that you live up to your true self.

Consider it the same as you praying for my soul. ;)

But a Bruce Lee t-shirt is an automatic ticket to coolness, like a Che Gueverra poster or a Bob Marley CD.

I would expect/hope it never passes. Not everyone down here is from the movie Deliverance

 What is up with the world!!!!!???????

Might as well ban all books promoting (by the way, how can homosexuality be "promoted"?) anything!

There is no such thing as Homosexuals or Heterosexuals. There is only a choice, to Sin or not to sin. The line between the two is completely artificial. Sex is ment for a man and his wife(a Woman) and vise versa, and noone else.

Just because feel things sometimes doesn't mean I'm going to surrender to them. For the record, its both sexes, but that doesn't make either right.
