What do you mean ? The civfanatics mod is not compleate ?
I downloaded your mod from civfanatics, installed the 1.10 beta from your site and now you tell me it has no graphics ? (I haven't had any time to test the mod. I just downloaded and installed it.)
Then please make a patch or something to auto-install the missing graphics.
 
I've just tested your mod. When I try to generate a large map the editor freezes. It works fine with large-tiny maps (it actually generates them fine).

One more issue. I don't think monks should be upgraded to bandits. There is no connection between them. They are separate. Monks and bandits have coexisted all along history and even now. Did you ever play Heroes of Might and Magic ? Did you noticed the monk was a pretty good unit while the bandit (thief) was amongst the weakest. I hope you'll change this.

yes it has no graphics added excepts all needed by the game ! It was 5 Mo more. Sorry but Thunderfall is not my host !

Try also to understand that my mod is big, and I have put the only files needed on this website. Maybe I will release a pack.

I haven't had any time to test the mod. I just downloaded and installed it

Can u test it before any other remarks? (to be able to see what I have made... cause you compare too much with another games !
Don't approach my mod with some ideas .... play on it and make your opinion.

I am interresting by remarks but from the persons who have played my mod. Cause they have seen the entire game and all the features of my mod. U will be very surprised I think :)
 
I've only taken a look at it and I'm surprized, but you must understand that I want it to be compleat (+graphix).

I'm not upgrading my civ.exe to 1.29 because I need a special patch besides the Firaxis one for the game to work. Till that patch is released I have to wait (there are others here waiting for it).
Anyhow I've heard the mod doesn't work with 1.29.

I didn't get it quite clearly.Something is missing from the mod on this site ? Does this mean I won't be able to see some buildings ?
PLS PLS PLS release a patch with the missing files then, I hate playing incompleate mods. Let's get this strait. If I'm lacking the graphics the buildings won't work or what ?

One more thing I posed and you didn't reply. I can't generate huge maps with your mod in the editor. The editor just freezes and I have to close it using CTRL+ALT+DELETE. Can you tell me why ? I'd like to implement Aanar's huge map of Europe in the mod an play it but I don't know how. ( my civ version is 1.21)

Religion has kept people together in harsh times like the Dark ages, it has been a pretext for many wars:
- Wars between The Byzantine Empire and Ottomans & Arabs (Orthodox vs. Muslims)

- The 30 years' war: Austria & Spain vs. the German minor states, France, Netherlands, Sweden. (Catholics vs. Protestants). France was a catholic state (though it had the Huguenots), but she chooses to fight for the protestant faith.
- The Crusades: conflicts between Catholics and Muslims. The Papacy wanted to control the Holy Land and allow pilgrims to pass freely to this territory controlled by Arabs.
- The Dutch revolt against the Spanish in the Netherlands (one of the big reasons of the revolt was religious intolerance by the Spanish. Spain didn’t allow the Dutch to practice Protestantism, but forced them to Catholicism)
- The conflicts in Northern Ireland between Catholics and Protestants
- The conflicts in Israel between Arabs and Jews. (Islam vs. Judaism)


You see, it’s all about religion, everything encircles around religion.

The examples can go on if you want to. So I really think you should pay more attention to religion.

OK I managed to upgrade civ3 to 1.29f but I can't play your mod due to an error caused by civilopedia. I think this was reported before but here goes.

Another thing: I think Saddam Hussein would kill you because of the American flag in the menu.

Here I say it to you again: I can't create a huge map using your mod, the game just freezes. Can you generate a huge map for me using your mod and post it somewhere. I intended to build a huge map with your mod.

For the scenario I can adapt them easily....
But don't know why your editor doesn't want huge map..

Or yes... if you try to import this as a huge map into my mod it will crash cause huge map on my mod have got size multiplied by near 2 !

And for Mathuis: your suggestion is very interresting and possible... (maybe with a little of some things that couldn't be perfect).
I hope to find a day to make that.

The post about religion was used to prove to you religion is an important factor wether it is or not implemented in the game.

I have nothing against the main screen, it was only a remark.

Another thing is you didn't tell me anything about the graphix patch.

I told you I visited your site, I downloaded the beta 1.10 and that's all.

How to install?

1.) Take the 3 files: Patch part 1(GMW110part1.zip),Patch part 2 (GMW110part2.zip), GMW110.zip.
2.) Unzip all files into a folder.
3.) Run GMW110.bat that will reconstruct the install file (110.exe)
4.) Run 110.exe and install the patch in the Civilization III folder.

game crashed @ 690bc tried to send copy but it said that the file was too big. iinstalled 1.29 and your new files the game looks great with new beginning page, everything ran ok until 690bc , then it just locked up thanks richard

when i play the mod it crash when i went to the middle ages in the science advisor screen. i try to figure out what caused it
to crash i try different things it turned to out to be the popHeads.pcx in Art\SmallHeads\ folders.
seeing how you added 3 extra citizens you know such as
Entertainer & Scientist & etc..
it was looking for the citizens heads seeing how one of the citizens requires middle age tech it need to find the section
of the image which contains the citizen head when you view
the middle ages in the science advisor
so can't find it so it crashes
so i was adle to fix it by making the image have more height
so it can have enough room for citizens heads
i try it and did work i also alternated between the original image
and new image it wold crash on the original image and work
on the new image was to see middle ages science advisor screen
 
can you send me this work? (it will economise my time a little...)

here is the image when i made it i resize the image
from 500x1000 to 500x1200 i just copy the Scientists heads
and made new rows with them
so the Alchemists-Scientists end up looking the same but work.
you well probably want to make your own version

I will make a new graphic pack... with the correction of Kittybush.

This correction (and the modifications I will do on it) will be avalaible in the next patch. So don't forget to take it !!!!
Even if you take TGMW.

I think about new additions... I always do that before integrate something. As i have always said to you, I want a game balanced.

For now ideas:
  • Some units for future (laser infantry)
    Some units for the last years of modern era
    I think about more resources, and how to balance the new resources (add more luxury, a little too easy now to have happy people). Maybe i will add some miscontentement from some building.
    I think about adding some new building for some governments. I have told sometimes ago on appolyton about a Republican school. But i need 2 improvements by governments.
    More civilizations: vikings, turcs, mayans, mongols
 
i think i fixed the saved game , i reinstlled the game.. i think the problem was that i chage the bic file to give more resources, this seems to crashed the game, so i just restoured the orginal bic file, and it works ok but you can still look at the save game i sent thanks richard
