Furioso!
Note:
when going to the file database, it automatically changes my forum skin to Modern CFC (from ancient CFC).

Make sure you don't have any spaces or commas in there (like 1,334,258), it should just be one long number (i.e. 1334258). I'm not even sure it'll recognize decimal points so when taking the values from google I drop anything after it.Mirc said:I don't know why, but even if I type a file size, it tells me "Unknown size".
Good idea. It's added.woodelf said:Can we have a Civ4 category for accessories? I have a handful of heads and plan on creating helmets, beards, ect to be added to existing units via the nifviewer. I know Rabbit has a ton of weapons and I don't know if they should go in the Units category or not. Thanks.
City improvements? They should go under Buildings.woodelf said:Another question. I added a Civ4 improvement under Other graphics. Are there going to be enough improvements to warrant a new category or is Other good enough?
I will look into that.. cold be possible just by editing the templates.aaglo said:When browsing either My Files in the FDB, or Files listed in a member profile, would it be possible to see the file category there also (wether the file is for civ4, civ3, civ2 or something like that)?
It's a measure added to protect against mass download using automated programs I think.Heretic_Cata said:"Slow down! You are trying to dl files to quickly."
What's up with that ? And another thing, is there any way to change the "Description" ?
I forgot to put a link to the thread of the mod. So i added it as the first comment instead.
The way it works now is fine. The uploader can control/edit the file he uploaded, not the author. This is because the author field doesn't need to be a forum user name (ex. Firaxis Games, Microprose), while the uploader must be a member. I can change a file's uploader easily. If Kindred72 becomes active again, I can assign his files back to him easily. So don't let this prevent you from adding files created by inactive modders.odintheking said:Ok, I tried to upload a unit by an author that no longer visits (the Renaissance Assassin by Kindred72) and it says in my profile that it's one of my files. Can you fix this, TF, for members that no longer visit? Also, maybe it would be a nice idea to seperate land units from sea units, so instead of just "Medieval Units" it could be seperated into "Medieval Sea Units" and "Medieval Land Units". This would make it much easier for people to find what they are looking for,. Thanks again for doing the database thing!
No, tile improvements should be uploaded under terrain graphics, since they change the look of the terrain. : The buildings category is for city improvements (doesn't include wonders). I have renamed it to City Improvements. You can change the category by editing the file. It's next to the big download link.Okay, so tile improvements go with buildings. Is it easy to switch which category I selected prior?
It has nothing to do with the Civ3 in-game eras.Mirc said:BTW, we have the category "Civ3 Renaissance Scenarios". I thought I'd point it out, as maybe TF (being probably a Civ4 addict) might have forgotten that there is no Renaissance era in Civ3, and there are only Ancient, Medieval, Industrial and Modern. Though this category might be there on purpose.
