Graphics Modification Requests Thread

Hello everyone! I am making a mod, Pearl of the Orient, and I was just wondering if anyone could PLEASE make a Ngo Dinh Dien leaderhead. Here are some pics of him.

Now, I know there is already a Pol Pot leaderhead, and he looks kind of similar, but the thing is that first of all, I am already using Pol Pot for the Cambodian Prime Minister. And secondly, I would like the leaderhead to wear more Vietnamese-like clothes, and have a different unique face. If anyone is willing to make Ngo Dinh Diem, I will be very very grateful.

Thanks in advance,
CurryAztec

Anyone remember those hydroponic farms from Civ:CtP? I want to add them to Civ IV, and I have all the XML already done. All I need now is the graphic model. I tried out hrochland's future farm from the download database, but that doesn't quite work for me. If anyone could do the .nif and .dds files...please :) .

If anyone could make any art for 'El Caracol,' I would be most grateful

Thank's in advance.

Is there a Civ V "GUI" for Civ 4? Meaning a fresh new design of buttons, mouse-icon, maybe cities, tiles, and so on?

If not: anyone interessed in creating one?

thx in advance

Hi,

I am in the process of creating a unique Pictish civ with all units artstyle nearly complete. I would love to add some unique buildings to it if anyone was willing to assist in this area.

The main building I am looking at is a replacement for the Barracks, a Pictish Broch.

The Broch is a very tall circular tower-like building that is placed at the front or centre of the village, with many small roundhouses surrounding it. It is a building consisting of two circular walls, one within the other. Within these two walls is a spiral staircase leading to a couple of levels. In the centre of the building is one large room with a fire pit. Of course when modelling, none of this needs to be created, just the outer stone wall, doorway, couple of windows, and a wooden roof.

I have enclosed some pics to give an idea.

Also enclosed some pics of the ruins of an old Broch. The tower is gone, but the doorway and base remain. Gives an idea of the doorway, that could be with or without a wooden door.

I did find an attempt at creating one that was in a scottish civ, but it is only the outer wall, no window or door, and no roof. It is also only a quarter of the size it would need to be. Looking more like a round house without a roof. But it may help. Enclosed as a zip.

Would be very greatfull if anyone wished to take this on, it would be the centre piece to the civ cities, towering above the houses. :)

The texture for the stone could be the same used for the standard ancient walls!

I'd appreciate it if someone could make an incan-style explorer unit. You could probably recombine a few different units.

If you're up for more of a challenge, I could also use a amazon-style dart blower. I have no idea where to start with that though.

I could need that Sunni Ali leaderheda from Amras mod, but it's down. Does someone has the file? I saw there is another version of Sunni Ali, but I need this one as I'd like to use parts of it for a new leaderhead. Couldn't find the files elsewhere either...

God bless brave Absinthe! I'll go and search for it - thank's for the hint!

I decided to reupload the whole mod, maybe some other modders could use the files as well: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LPQUCC4T
Note that it hasn't been updated to BtS 3.19, was made for 3.13

If anyone knows were any of these are avaiblable for donwload or can create them please post

You could also try to create them yourself ;).
Making a flag or button needs the work time of maybe 5 minutes, and learning it (needs maybe 15 minutes) is really worth it, because you'll always need such small stuff.
And we sure have tutorials for it ;).

Thanks, ill try that, but does any1 have any of these flags already?

The question is, do you want the flags in civ4 style using a symbol rather than a flag and civ colours to create the color effect, or do you want the real flags. I can link you a tutorial if you want to ;)

Thanks for the help, but The_J has already pointed me to one, I knew how to make buttons, didnt relize only difference wa the size:crazyeye:

And the pointed out symbol flags are also not that different. If you are interested, cool3a2 explains it in his tutorial.
Looks I reached my goals I had when writing that tutorial. Seems like it has become the standard tutorial for flags recommended and also questions about flags seem to have dropped. Good to see my work has some use. :)
