For me, Calvin and Hobbes is the best. It's one of those rare comics that get better as you grow older.

The Far Side and Garfield come 2nd and 3rd.

I'm sure I missed something. If so, tell me and I'll ask the mods to stick it in.

How, how do people have such opinions! It's like the guy who absolutely loves literature. "The Odyssey, War and Peace, and the Twilight series are my favorites of all time (of all time)."

I'd vote Calvin and Hobbes for top too, poll is otherwise missing some of my favorites.

No Bloom County?

Calvin and Hobbes is still my favorite, of course.

1. Mods cannot add more poll items, they can only change poll items
2. Mods don't exist to change poll options at whim.
3. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS add an "other" option

#3 cannot be emphasised enough. Still, to be fair, I'd likely pick Calvin and Hobbes myself, but there are many other good comic strips. The Phantom and Mandrake the Magician should be considered just based on their damn longevity, even though they - especially the abortion that is Mandrake - royally suck these days.

I saw Calvin and Hobbes was the first option and voted for it without reading the other options.

I went for the Far Side: I enjoy it the most of them. Calvin & Hobbes is close second for me.

Dilbert would lose to injecting vomit into my eyeballs.

I approve of the setting of that comic

Pogo! My father had a huge collection of Pogo comic books when I was young, I probably wouldn't have heard of it otherwise.

Calvin & Hobbes, just ahead of the Far Side.

I am tied between Calvin and Hobbes and the Far Side. Dilbert comes in a close third with FoxTrot as fourth.

Marmaduke ranks at worst comic strips of all time.

Depending on the day, either Peanuts, The Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes, and Pearls Before Swine. I voted for Calvin because it was first.

Calvin and Hobbes was my favorite comic strip. Opus, from Bloom County, was my favorite character.

Far Side. I absolutely love The Far Side.

Where's Achewood?

Otherwise, obviously Calvin and Hobbes. I don't know most of the others (as far as I can tell they're all American - I'm assuming that's the American Dennis the Menace, not the proper one) but I think it's still a safe choice. I must admit I think Dilbert is actually funnier, though.
