Akka, you should probably post another clue at this point.

True.
Let's say it's a general type of entertainment that we all should be pretty familiar with.

Is it specifically online or offline, or is it more general than that?
Is the "units" money, people or something else?

Leisure time spent playing video games? Or in front of a screen in general?
I count that as a win ^^
The exact answer was "percentage of population being gamers".
Didn't think it would be that hard to guess considering the forum we are in !

This data is from 2020. These are the 8 countries with values strictly higher than 50% in order from highest:
Nicaragua
Austria
Belgium
Sweden
Albania
Rwanda
Costa Rica
Canada

Cultural, economic, demographic, or perhaps with those countries religious?

Likely wrong but my first thought was church attendance.

Yeah, so religious beliefs surely contribute to the data being low (or in fact 0) for some countries, but it is by far not the only factor and doesn't matter in many of the countries.

or related to some kind of food or drink consumption

Since you said 2020 and Sweden is in the top 10, I was thinking Covid deaths, but that doesn't seem to fit with the information afterwards.

Wow @Tee Kay that was some lightning fast guessing there. I would've expected at least some more necessary hints there

Women in ministerial level positions is the proportion of women in ministerial or equivalent positions (including deputy prime ministers) in the government. Prime Ministers/Heads of Government are included when they hold ministerial portfolios. Vice-Presidents and heads of governmental or public agencies are excluded.
