Guess the Map IX: The Richese are no match

Countries that has changed their capitals in relatively recent past (very relatively)?

Like Berlin-Bonn-Berlin, Krakow-Warsawa, Rio de Janiero-Brasilia, Moscow-ST. Petersburg-Moscow, Melbourne/sidney-Canberra, Nanjing-Beijing and so forth?

Given the time frame necessary to justify some of the entries, shouldn't Portugal show up green as well?

Brazil is highlighted.

Countries where the capital isn't the city with the highest GDP in the country?

It's pretty close so I'll give it to you. It's countries without primate cities. Wiki thinks Casablanca counts as a primate city, despite not being the capital, so you can take it up with them. But most of the time primate cities are the capital. Turkey's another exception.

We should have a serious talk with them.
On the one hand there's Casablanca. And then there are (or are not) Amsterdam and Kiev...

Sorry, Amsterdam was my bad. That should've been colored. But there are some other issues. I think you can easily make the case that Tokyo is a primate cities and that Syria, Libya, and Sweden do not have primate cities. It's pretty subjective overall, but for the most part I think the pattern was obvious enough which is why I gave it to WIM since his guess was close.

It doesn't say the primate city have to be the capital.

Edit for more things:

Wikipedia lists Rotterdam and Den Haag to counter Amsterdam as a primate city. And in Ukraine there's Kharkiv and Odessa.

Right, but I think his point was that Amsterdam and Ukraine weren't colored on my map when he thinks they should've been.

Oh, sorry :undecide:

but another thing that someone pointed out is that Sweden should have been coloured. The wikipedia page says it doesn't have a primate city, simoltaniously (spelling?) as it isn't coloured on the map.

Yeah, I saw. I just decided to not color it because I didn't know which to go with. There are a few that are like that. It actually lists Khartoum, Sudan as a primate city before going on to say that Khartoum isn't a primate city. :dunno: I knew about the map's weaknesses but gave it away to the first person who saw the general trend to avoid commotion. I think it's obvious enough with the US, Canada, China, Australia, India, Germany, and Brazil as examples of countries that definitely don't have a primate city.

Look, uné máppez.

Countries that have shadowy elites that use Greece as a protectorate? :/

(can't be, Australia is irrelevant :mischief: ).

But it cannot be numbers of Greeks either, be it percentage (Cyprus has no color) or absolute number (Mexico probably has a lot less than Argentina).

But it cannot be numbers of Greeks either

But it is

I saw Cyprus after I posted the map. I don't think its very acurate. Though there are more in USA than in Cyprus.

Now you have to post a map, Kyriakos. I challenge you to make it non-Greek themed.
