OOC: A note on generations: I usually divide the fourth generation as beginning near the last five turns of stJNES5 and ending at the closing of stNNES3, after NNES3, a whole bunch of people started NESing all of a sudden.

Nice idea @ guide. Don´t forget us Apolytoners, please! While we´re not as active as you folks, we also had some great NES'...
Two things:
- PC/NPC should stand for (Non-)Player-Characters, since it determines whether there´s a player in control of the country or not
- MMP should be MPP

The Gnome-NES currently is the only one that has been active recently, that´s why you won´t see many at the first glance. Just chose "show from the beginning"...
Good ones were GiovanniWine´s and Methril´s NES. I started with those some years ago, so maybe I´m a bit biased...

Apolyton is the home of the DemoGame, and most of us Civers are somewhat busy in those. So it was only natural to start our NES' there as well. First with great success, now many refrain from playing since rarely a game ever "finished"... (Methril´s was the only one I know of that had a winner at the end...)
Also you seem to do quite fine here, with so many open NES. We on 'poly, on the other hand, could need more players! Please come over and pay us a visit!

Well, if NES' ever truly die out in Poly or if the Mods close ya down, you could definately come here. The NES' Ive seen at poly are a slightly different but still fun nonetheless.

Disfavored type: anything that involves Magic or too much left up to a moderator that can be biased.
Approves of: I cant hold grudges, and I like everyone who plays in a character and wont take a grudge from one nes to the next!

I think what we need is a definitive guide to the generations.

First generation are nesers that joined in or before rtor2.
Second generation are nesers that joined after rtor2 and before stjnes4
Third generation are nesers that joined before stjnes5 started but after sjnes4 began.

Fifth generation are nesers that joined in the later half of 2004.
Sixth generation nesers are those who joined in the first half of this year
Which means anyone from now on should be classified as a Seventh generation neser. Scary isnt it.

Actually it started there independently and still on most accounts is a less regulated sort of there, although the CFC version has become the more popular. For those who dont know I orginated on this site, and the first nes I played on CFC was Jason's Agean Sea nes with my good friends from Apolyton, mmtt and Giovanni Wine who both unfotuantley no longer have the time to nes.
