Hammer of the North v2 PBEM

Everything is different. First off, before anyone suggests it, NO... I did not (nor ever do) forget to CNTL-N before my saves (I keep a small checklist on the monitor frame).

Besides, it is FAR more than simply that, anyway. It's impossible, I know, but it looks almost as if someone had played a turn for me, having deliberately changed production from IMPROVEMENTS to UNITS, deleted some 4-500 saved shields in a WONDER... cashed in for a damned ARCHER unit...

About 15 cities are destroyed due to... whatever the hell happened. Germany can not be more damaged than if I deliberately tried to destroy myself. I'm quite at a loss. I'll try again when I get more time, as I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

As it is, Germany is destroyed with this 'weird' save I received, and this could not happen at a worse time than with those frog bas... er, snail eaters pounding on my gates. :)

Seriously... something is MASSIVE wrong. If I cannot figure it out and 'fix' it... this game is so INCREDIBLY 'over' for me, that I won't even be intere... well, if I can't determine what the heck is wrong, I may beg you (as a monitor, I trust you) to look into this save with my password, then perhaps Arthedain's save (if he's willing, I know he mentioned he had some serious problems, also). In fact... you might need to 'back up' and look at everyone's save from since my last turn, to try and figure out what went wrong, and where.

This isn't my saved turn I received. Not sure what went wrong. However, if I can't figure it out, could I send you my last turn (duh! It's already posted on this site!) and also this which I just received? You'll spot an incredible difference, quite immediately!

Hmm, as Duke said, try to use the repairoption in civdip. Please tell us if this works or not, so I can replay my turnor something..

OK, I thought I have destroyed the game somehow!

@Arthedain: thanks for actually understanding many previous comments about my being CPU 'illiterate'! I'm constantly terrified I'm going to somehow mess up a game for everyone. I used the civdip 'repairs' program. Thanks! (I had thought it was something used to help out an ally with repairs to a unit in the game... duh!)

@Morten, et al: my units WERE on a stinking Abbey... not a hill as I had thought. Also, I do not understand either the concept of this game, nor the 'ancient' type of warfare. Otto continued to move large numbers of units into place, but suggests to Charles a peace treaty, in which Frank forces withdraw to 'their' (west) side of the mountains, and return whatever that (little destroyed German) city is. It is becoming obvious that this war, if continued, is going to be devastating to each of us in particular, and also have serious ramifications to the entire outcome of this... ah... scenario.

Either peace, or continue with our mutual destruction.
The line is drawn.

Peace is agreed, if we can continue to send our missionaries east (with respect to Saxon territory of course), without them being hunted by unruly Saxon nobles. The Franks will then withdraw our forces without delay, and the captains responsible for sacking your monastery, will be duly punished!

I will send you an official civ2dip offer, returning your city, before your next turn :)

Ha, ha, ha!
I know you Morten, you conniving old dog!

What 'deviltry' are you up to NOW!? :)

(hey, that other game? I swear it wasn't me! That was my evil twin brother! :)

@ Franks, is a Frankish missionary enters our city again (you posted that you stole a tech from us before) we must take action. And that goes for ships (all players) in our waters too (Danish straits etc).

Hmm, I thought you wrote that you visited my city and got a tech, but maybe you gott he tech yourself then. Well, anyways, I don't like "visiting" (=spying) either.. ;)

Well you mentioned that you visited a city (that I own), and then you mentioned that your missionaries got the tech, so i just figure you "stole" it. Know I know that you didn't. ;) Anyways I'll stop spamming about this, I just want to point out that I don't want others units near my cities, with the reason that I don't wnat conflicts. :D
