HarlNESIII - The Decline of France

Also how does my Eastern Empire Trading Company income work? Do I get the extra point this turn?

Who is it!

Its not me, i didn't have net access so i thusly couldn't send orders

To the United States of America
From the United Mexican States

We ask that your settlers refrain from entering the sovereign territory of Mexico.

We were unaware that they were doing so, prior to just shortly ago. Are they not immigrating to your lands?

Nonetheless, we will request our people to stop moving into your territory.

Pedro's Announcement

To: Brazilian Rebels
From: Portugal

We are setting up a Commonwealth system for Brazil. Brazil will remain loyal to Portugal and gain its near complete independence. You will be fighting your own brothers as the man I appointed head of the States of Brazil will fight you.

To: Loyalist Brazil
From: Kingdom of Portugal

Our agreement is thus Public.

You should fight for Brazil, not just give it such freedom :p Let me see blood and death in the streets of Rio ;)

I'm thinking that we'll do an IT more, then do a very small BT for just 5-10 years. Enough so that the nations can recover a bit, but not enough to make them completely different from what you have.

The idea is mainly to avoid a situation where we go maybe 8 turns without anything happening because people feel too weak.

Of course, I'm all ears for other suggestions :)

Have to agree with HQ here, you must fight for Brazil, the knock-on effects of what you propose in this time period is just nasty.

I had no time to write long orders this turn to fight. South America was going to get worse and worse so I figured make an ally out of the situation. I will gain a EC back from Brazil when its over anyway. Just going to turn my interests to Africa.

Well, essentially either way works for me. I think I really like China now. ;)

Its a bit of a dilemma, theoretically a "scramble for Africa" (undoubtedly the next global IT) should not be possible (economically way too expensive) until Late Industrial Age (some 100 regular updates away) however lots of things like the American Civil War, Mexican Civil War, India Rebellions, Unification of Germany, Colonization of Australia and the Opium Wars, happened between now and the "Scramble for Africa" in real life history.

I have quite a few things to do before that anyway. No one think losing Brazil is losing my Empire.

In fact. HQ I am going to resend orders. Brazil situation stays the same.

Its more the need for disease resistence and better medicine in the ol' scramble than the monetary cost of the thing IIRC.

If there are 8 turns without anything of interest happening, allow there to be 8 turns without anything interesting happening. You'll still have dedicated players, and people will be that much more attached to their country. If there is to be something crazy to go on in a NES, let it be because of the players.

btw, I'm sure we'll find mischief on our own. We deffinetly don't need no help ;)

Yes, and I will send orders this turn. Promise. It wasn't from lack of interest.

Where is erez?

I've been wondering that same trash
