In my dreams, I've died and then gone to an afterlife where I knew I was dead. Every time that happens, when I wake up, for a few minutes I'm confused if I'm alive and awake, or actually dead and the afterlife just looks like my normal life.

Nice, well this is a phenomenon i have also experienced, and in fact wrote about in my first ever published story. Namely that one wakes up from a dream, but cannot know if the dream goes on or not, since waking up in it before was just like waking up in normality.
It can be very frightening, since you realize that your sense that you are alive/ outside of the dream (no matter if that is true or not) is mostly influenced by the belief you are...

Just had a death dream at about 3am this morning. This time, I viewed 3rd person footage from a store camera where some right-wing nutjob comes in and for no apparent reason shoots me. There's even a post on CFC about the death of Murky and a related news broadcast. Weird.
