Uh, sort of frequently. Usually lying in bed with a laptop.

Sounds very familiar over the years - occasionally a desktop provides the lullabies but never fallen asleep when actually trying to be awake & working with a computer.

I sleep like a corpse. I've balanced a full glass of water on my chest before sleeping, slept through the night, and woken up with nothing spilled. The laptop is pretty safe.

I know I've done it plenty of times before, but I usually do not realize I dozed off until I look down at the clock. It's usually all kinda hazy in my memory. I have also fallen asleep with my phone out many many times, but that usually means I'm texting a cute girl, so it's all good.

I know at least one time, before I moved out of my folks' home, I once fell asleep, or at least came extremely near to falling asleep, while flying Microsoft Flight Simulator of all things (FS2004).

I didn't finish the transition into sleep cuz my body is a douche and physically/neurologically jerks itself awake if I'm in *any* position other than lying completely down AND under covers.

I voted yes, but keep in mind it isn't real sleep. It's a power nap at best. No more than 5 to 15 minutes. I simply cannot sleep sitting down. But I do work nights, and sometimes I am tired when getting home. I prefer to stay up though, and not go to bed. But sometimes a power nap is all it takes to keep me going for another 5 hours.
