Heretic_Cata's All in One Mod - Expansion

This mod must have some of those fans that would camp outside the shop just to buy a new released game, or camp outside the cinema to watch the cool new film... I was going to do that with SOAP, myself, but I ended up... not :p

I am playing your mod, it is about 800 bc, when at begining of turn I get warning nuclear plant melt down in city has occured. All six squares around it get messed up, but I don't have fission tech or a power plant in city.:crazyeye:
As I went on, in about 10 turns latter, it happened again in a city I had captured only 3 turns ago. Only thing in city was bargarks, Harbor and temple. I was building rifeman.

What is happening?

Did you build the Tower of Babel ? :D
Read it's description. :mischief:

Wait a second. YOU HAVE RIFLEMEN IN 800 BC ? :faints:

H_C!!! I havent been around much because im at college these days and forbid myself from playing civ so i dont fail out (cause i would) but i am glad to see the expansion is out! I have spring break in 2 weeks and will play this extensively!!! btw, im glad you got that nomad settler in there. its not exactly what i worked on way back when, but it satisfies me... my only question is how the AI uses them, if at all? also, does the Nomad settler spawn or is it only build-able in a nomad gov't as i suggested, or what? im curious to hear about all this and i cannot wait to see this in a few weeks. congrats!

The Nomad Settler is spawned by the Nomads' Homeland.
I have no idea how the ai uses them but it's highly probable that he uses him just like any other settler, i don't think he exploits his hidden nationlaity. Unless someone has seen differently ... :)
The nomad government was a bit too far from the mainstream to add. (and a bit too warlike for my game style :D)

Glad to hear you'll play the mod. :)

Just downloaded and installed, but I'm confused. Your installation instructions say to extract the mod to "Civilization3\Conquests"..."and let it replace the Scenarios folder". But your patch instructions say to extract to the Scenarios folder. I did that. Now I have a folder called "My Mod" in the Conquests folder and a folder called "New Patch" in the Scenarios folder. Nothing is/was overwritten (that I can tell). This can't be right, can it? Sorry, I'm very literal when it comes to my computer.

I haven't yet tried it, but it does seem odd. Is the above what I should end up with? Thanks, and I'm really looking forward to the mod.

Update: Okay, I tried extracting BOTH mod and patch to Civilization3\Conquests\Scenarios. Now in Scenarios I have a My Mod folder and a New Patch folder. Again, nothing seems to have been overwritten. Is THIS right? Or did I screw it up again? Thanks.

First of all, welcome to CFC! [party]
I am a techno dunce myself, but from what I read, I suppose this is what you should do, at least it worked for me.
First of all you unzip the big file. Then in your unzipped folder you should get a folder named My mod ( I think), and inside that you have two files, a huge folder called My Mod containing the graphics and text files, and a biq-file by the same name. Those two should be put in the Civilization3\Conquests\Scenarios.
You then unzip the patch, and get two files by the identical names. Now move those two to the same directory; Civilization3\Conquests\Scenarios, and allow overwriting of files. Now you should be ready to play.

Luceafaru has it right basicaly. :)

I think i screwed up with the instructions. Sorry.

I no longer have the big archive on my computer, so could someone please tell me what exactly is in it ? I mean is there a Scenarios folder in it ? or just My Mod folder and My Mod.biq ?

I see the patches archive is screwed. I've edited the instructions for it.

From what i can tell you almost have it right. Only one thing is left for you to do:
Edited Patch Instructions said:
In the folder called "New Patch" there are 2 things: a "My Mod" folder and "My Mod.biq". Take those 2 things and move them in your "Scenarios" folder. There, you should let them replace everything they want.

I hope this gets it right - as soon as someone answers my question i will make the instructions accurate. :)

Thank you for (so far, wanting to) play my mod. :) :D

I don't want to be a grammar nazi, but don't forget the "article": Luceafarul. :D

Spoiler :
If any mod reads this, I'll give a clear explanation to you if you think I deserve a warning for this. :mischief:

And still, I didn't have time to play your mod. Sorry. I'm busy these days: I have a big concert on Wednesday (at Odorheiu Secuiesc), I will record a CD later next week, I have to make a map, I have to make a mod, I have to play a Vanilla Civ3 game, and I have to take care of my own forum. You realize how much work this is, right? ;)

But the "l" isn't pronounced in spoken romanian. :D :mischief:

Wow , just wow. And i thought i had a busy schedule. Releasing this mod and retiring from modding civ3 was 1-2 things cleared off the "to do" list. :)

You're retiring? :(

BTW, forgot to say I'm also Global Mod at a forum, I need to do some graphics and we're doing a huge upgrade so I have to give lots of feedback and moderate a lot of posts. :mischief:

You're retiring? :(
Yup. It was fun while it lasted. :)

The only modding i will do is release the next patches. After that buh bye civ3. :wavey:
If i ever get an overwhelming urge to mod civ3 i would change the splashes to the wonders with croocked ones.
And i could start adding historical descrptions for stuff in the mod so that Plotinus would finaly be able to play my mod. :p :D

That's about it for me here. I'll probably slowly dissapear from the civ forums altogether some day.

So building the Tower of Babel is the cause!
Oh well, guess I got to restart again. Too many bad lands.
OH yea, not BC but 800 AD. :crazyeye:

Serves you right for angering God. :spank: :D

That's better, i guess. :)

Do i develop so slow in the game ? :crazyeye: Even with the current date settings i barely get to the industrial age in 1700.

im getting a lot of errors - especiallyh on wonders - that cause the game to crash - double harbor being one. what gives?

Are these errrors from the wonder splashes ?
Or are they from the civilopedia icons ?
Does this happen when the mod loads ?

Are you sure you put the mod in the right place ?

And also, i'll ask again this IMPORTANT QUESTION for anyone that has the mod:

What exactly is in the main archive of the mod ? Is there a Scenarios folder first ? or just My Mod folder and My Mod.biq ?
