How do you like your steak?

Rare, with a charred outer surface. One of the benefits of living in the country is good meat. Nice big 1kg ribeye steaks that have been hung for two or three weeks.
 
Medium rare - That way I'm as certain as I can be that it won't make me sick, but I'll still enjoy it.

It isn't the same, really.
Blood in its liquid form, particularly fresh from a newly killed animal, is very different from the meat juices and gravy that emanate from a rare steak. Far more coppery in taste, with a bit of spice, and certainly quite warm. If the wound is a gusher, then the sensation is very different and quite pleasant.
 
rare, raw in the middle part. The only problem with raw or semi raw meat is the parasite eggs which accumulates and hatches in your guts, but its no problem aborting them from your body.

Said as only one who has had a parasite egg hatch and take over his brain can say! :p
 
Worms are a healthy way of losing weight! Besides with the way I am eating my steak, I can't get good quality ones without burning a hole in my pocket

Seriously though, it has to be rare. Although I do like it well seared on the outside. A fine glass of red wine with it is also a must.
 
Close to charcoal.. i like to fight my way through the meat in order to eat it..
 
I don't particularly like steak, but if I ever have one it has to be well done.
 
I don't mind it Chicago style rare, but I want flavour and juice. Well done, whilst a matter of personal preference, does not allow the meat to fully shine.

Cooked to requested level and then quickly charred. Lovely texture and complement to flavour.
