I have a game as Finland in the MiscMods Shattered Europe alt-history, I conquered Riga, Pskov, Tver, Yaroslavl and Estonia, and control two of Novgorod's provinces to connect my lands.
Interesting to note is the Golden Horde conquering Kazan and Sibir again, and that France has definitely been kicked out of Paris - they own Calais and Picardie.
The Alt-History destroys all major european powers and replaces them, usually the new powers are non-christian. Some powers, like Sicily, are Muslim. Pagans are popping up all over the place.

I have conquered Novgorod and Wenden, and have made 3 extra regions Shamanist, as well as fortifying Olonets.
France is emerging into two main powers: Big Bad Burgundy and Big Bad Brittany. Spain is for Badajoz and Granada - a sight you don't see often! Mallorca is Granada's vassal and they are on the second conquest against Seville. Asia is being cleaned up for the first time in my life.
Boris ze Spider could clean up Castille - this Granada doesn't even have a real castille.
( I should mention Badajoz has occupied ALL castille's three provinces.)

Year is 1771 after the birth of our lord
and here i am, the humble King of England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Bohemia, Spain, Duke of Milan and Naples, Emperor of the Romans and India.
First of all, i started at 1399, won against France, destroying their army and honour, getting some provinces in the process, then defended against Burgundy, destroying their armies and vassalizing Holland in the war, Conquered Ireland, Vassalized Scotland and then attacked France, got the mission to get control in Paris...i declared with the reconquest casus belli, so i got cores in entire Gaul, after this i left France with some scattered provinces and annexed the minors.
After annexing France i advanced in Burgundy, destroying them with my new armies, i also annexed Scotland and got most of Burgundian territories, just to annex them after some time. i discovered the New World and attacked super-Shawnee, annexed them in one war, then colonized and bla bla bla...and BAM! union with Bohemia!
i would inherit them after some time, making me the biggest European Power...with the biggest territory, owning much of North America, but there was Spain...strong, powerful, and HUGE!
They owned entire Mexico and Central America, and half South America (almost entire Brazil, and everything to the west of Brazil), they didn't owned Argentina because Venice owned it
well...i was here, planning some invasions over the place, when... PU WITH NAPLES and Spain whiout heir(!). i claimed their throne and attacked them, and after getting full control of their european territories they accepted the PU...
after some time i inherited Spain (not Naples, still trying to inherit them). then i had to run to get some armies in place, because the revolt risk was HUGE, and their colonies...it was very hard to defend, but after i cored them it was a piece of cake to bomb my economy (that was already mighty)

Very nice game, first of all, i started as Minamoto, forced a PU with Fujiwara, and started conquering the other states, till i formed Japan. (around 1420~ 1430~)
When i formed Japan, i waited the infamy to go down, then i invaded Korea, got their eastern coastal provinces, and Manchu attacked me... it was a hard war, they had Millitary Drill NI, so i had to wait till i got it, then white peaced after some time, i allied Ming and waited...annexed Korea and picked QFTNW as my second NI, to explore Europe
but...Ming Collapsed in Wu and Qin, both eating it, so i cancelled my alliance and went to take my piece of them, took some provinces around Shangai, i also was attacked by Manchu, just to eat their eastern provinces. after this i started my process of Westernization...quite easy, i gave some random dutch state some province around Shangai as a port (like some asian countries did in RL to the europeans that explored the area, like Portugal) so that i could westernize, after this came modernization, had to wait around 2 rulers to die, so that i could get it...but i still lacked one thing...
In real life, Japan was quite close to becoming Catholic, and there are events about this in the game...but they only worked with the Dayimios (or whatever they are called), so i modded to allow unified Japan to get the event... and i got it, it was like 50 years to get the Zealots to convert enough provinces. but i converted...
After this, i had awesome relations with Europe, and started converting my few provinces in the Asian mainland, and started my true invasion of Asia, i annexed the Indonesian countries and colonized much of the area (the british had some, but i "convinced" them to either liberate it to nations or give them to me), attacked India in both its COTS (destroyed the Bihar one, after this Asia became 5 CoTs owned by Japan! all very rich). i also avanced in China, and converted (right now every Chinese province i own is Catholic), in the end i saw the west coast of the New World whiout a owner, so i came there
So its 1503, First real game.....im quite proud of it - hey everyones gotta start somewhere!!
I united the british isles, and smacked down the french immediatly. im now looking at colonising N America and so have a little pit stop in green land that should become a core in about 40 years or so.
Burgandy have been a pain ive fought 3 wars with them, each time i have made them concede defeat and free various provinces (this is the same tactic i used on france). Easier to avoid badboy points.
Austria and switerland are also big enemys of mine having been Burgandys ally in each war. Anyway, next 100 years should be fun
About 7 decades ago, I noticed a very interesting thing.
Because I was so good at being a Protestant Germany and being the Protestant saviour and overlord, my constant forcing of nations to change religions caused some weird shift...

So all the Catholics seemed to have moved into Spanish Controlled North Africa...
Which in Turn pushed all the Muslims to wipe out Shites and kick hinduism out of India.
Which in turn, fled to South East Asia where Buddhism got crunched out by North advancing Hinduism and South advancing Confucianism.

Now in my Game, there are only two Shite provinces in Oman, Hinduism has become the dominant religion in South East Asia under Hindu Cham and Hindu Maharajphit.
