How is your EU3 Game going?

You just know he's going to die in the first epic battle, right? :D

He died peacefully, sadly when he got to throne he was already 24-25, it would have been better if i had gotten a regency...

Well, his heir is so-so, being something like 6/5/6...But the legacy of the Great? Well, he was great! (And i got my prussian military reforms)

Does EU3 take into account ruler age for death? I always figured it was an event-like formula with a MTTH, but I've never investigated it.

Longest reign I had was around 35 or 40 years, I think.

Yes, it is like an event with MTTH values, the age affects this.

Longest reign i had was like...60-70 years, maybe around 80...

I'm done with my Netherlands game. It just crashed at the end of a year of micromanagy world war which I cannot be bothered to redo. It's been fun. I ended the game with the Low Countries, Calais, much of Italy, Malta, Epirus, Everything from Rio Grande to the Inca and Aztecs in South America, half the Caribbean, South Africa, some of Indonesia and a massive chain of islands go all around the the world. It was fun to colonise them but tedious to manage when war came around. Hiding the patrol barques then purging the pirates at the wars end was dull, as was managing the transport fleets.

The only thing that kept me going was the interesting political situation in Europe. France, Castille, Bavaria, Denmark, Lithuania and Muscovy were all major players and the frequent wars were good fun.

Time to start a Byzantine game methinks.

Sounds like the sun never set on the orange empire.

One thing I like about the latest version is that your patrol ships will still discourage pirates in nearby sea tiles if they are in port, so I just station enough single light ships around my colonies to prevent piracy while they are in port and it cuts down on war micromanagement. A lot easier, unless your colonies get sacked and the ships get sunk while fleeing to another port.

And I wish it was harder to colonize the Pacific and Africa, but that's because I like playing Victoria and doing it there. :mischief:

:suicide:

France seems to have beaten both Britain and Burgundy simultaneously... note both Calais and Cambrai. France normally can't get access to Calais except over Burgundy's dead body.

They'll bankrupt soon enough.

They folded to a massive stack of Barrois nationalists from Burgundy, thus acquiring the army. They disbanded it soon afterwards, but it was scary while it lasted. Now both Alsace and Lorraine have been annexed.

England took most of Aquitaine/Toulouse from France in their first war, only to lose their entire continental possessions in their next war with France. Burgundy has been thouroughly beaten by France, who has reached Antwerp by now.

The current state of France at 1742: Highest income, probably biggest army (or on eof the biggest), many colonies, second highest tech (Pisa has higher but is an OPM, so I'm not concerned) and on an expansion binge.

You're France. Why the heck don't you have half of Europe yet? :3

also your borders are ass-ugly

Playing the Death and Taxes mod as Byzantium. It's about mid 1600 now and not only have I restored the Roman Empire, I also have Roma, Constantinople, Jerusalem, Mecca and Alexandria under my thumb with some sort of religious thing restored. I'm the most powerful and advanced nation in the world but I'm concerned about POLAND STRONG to the north. They've extended all the way to the Himalayas.
