How many pillows do you sleep with under your head at night?

There is a wide range of answers:

•We have the one pillow people, who stick to one pillow, old true and faithful. These people don't like the complexity of multiple pillows and don't like having too much underneath their head.
•We have the two pillow people, who still don't like pillows everywhere, but prefer the comfort of 2 pillows. Many people would leave you to believe double pillow = double the awesome. I am one of those. I like a bit of elevation when I sleep.
•Then we have the 3 or more pillow people. Also, those who have pillows all over there bed to rest/lay on fall into this category as well. This is a pillow free-for-all, with pillows galore. The more pillows, the better. Who cares if some fall off in the middle of the night? I need me as many pillows as I can fit on the bed, dammit.

Like I said, I am in category 2. How bout you?

Two under my head, multiple pillows down my back as a wall, one between the knees and one body pillow down the front of me (I sleep on my side) to make me feel as though someone is there when my gf isn't. So in short, yes, I make a pillow fort.

One. The other regular pillow, and the two in the frilly cases are properly stored on the floor.

one, but is an awfully big one... so some of you will count it as two :D
and of course an extra pillow next to that bacause it is a 2-person bed...

I'm definitely in Category 3. I count six pillows on my small single bed. My preference for more pillows is however offset by my unwillingness (combination poverty, laziness) to go out and buy more pillows, and the limited space on my bed which my pillows share with eight blankets.

I usually just have the one pillow under my head when sleeping; sometimes two. The rest are all over the bed; beside me, or on top of me (I hug pillows; sad isn't.)

Well, they are of various sizes and thicknesses. In summer, I only sleep with two or three of the less-warm ones and the rest spend the night at the foot of the bed. In winter, I don't have a heater on when I go to sleep, so I would have maybe four blankets on top of me, one to keep my head warm, one used as a scarf, one really soft one that I sleep on, and the rest scattered around on the bed.

I use one normal pillow and one smaller pillow. Another pillow is off to the side to protect my head from the corner of the window sill. Sometimes I sleep with my head on top of the smaller pillow and underneath the normal pillow. But usually only if it's already too light or loud.

I have four on my bed.
One thin one to rest my head on when I sleep.
One thicker one if I read in bed.
The others I use to prop myself up if I decide to watch TV in bed.

Couple years ago when I was in Skopje (Macedonia) I bought some pillows but I cannot remember if they were from a Greek:p owned shop but the pillows most likely would have been from China anyway.:p

Two pillows of the same size, and same softness. In fact, they're the same exact pillow, except there's two of them.

Much more comfy than a single pillow, and not so neck-straining as three pillows.

Are they Heisenberg’s pillows

One. I'd really rather not stress my cervical vertebrae and muscles.

People sleep with more than one pillow UNDER their head???????

My mind is blown. I guess it makes sense, depending on the size of the pillow, but I never saw anyone sleep with more than one pillow under their head at a time (assuming full size pillow).

I have 1 pillow right now, and 1 thin sheet to sleep under (I need to buy a blanket though). At my bedroom at home I have 2 pillows on the bed when I sleep, but just one pillow under me at a time.

should get a pillow to hug. forever alone, etc.

Only I am allowed to have Downtown as a pillow.

I am his blanket.

I like two pillows. I feel a lot more comfortable when I can elevate my head a bit. Right now I only have one pillow, so I end up folding it in half and sleeping on it like that. I should really get a second one...
