The final season of The Sopranos begins in about 25 minutes. Really, there are only a few ways it can be expected to end. I don't accept retirement as one of them.

  • Dead - Tony takes a bullet in the back of the head or a shovel or whatnot and spends the rest of his days either 6 feet under in a nice wooded area of southern New Jersey or sleeps with the fishes.
  • Witness Protection - He turns on his comrades in La Cosa Nostra.
  • Prison - Yep, they got him.
Really, I also don't think witness protection is likely, given Tony's whole take on everything. It's either prison or dead, and honestly I think they have him whacked at the end.

I think he will turn witness protection. I think that his wife and dr melfi plus will convince him that his mafia life/oath arnt as important as protecting his famaily. The fbi will offer him some deal (like in season 1) and camela will argue to say he should take it. Then all the work pressure will come down on him (war with new york, betrayl of friends, maybe dead friends e.g. chris or paulie or maybe aj). And he will be left with the decision the "Family" or his family. If he dosent take the witness protection then im sure he will end up dead.

The FBI are going to use Bobby to get to Tony, but Tony is going to end up dead before they are done with their case against him.

I have a feeling that it's going to be somebody very close who kills Tony, possibly his sister or even wife.

I haven't been following the last several seasons. I was saving them for a massive rentathon, where I did nothing but watch the Sopranos for two weeks. Therefore I am not up-to-date.

However, as a random guess, I will say prison.

Well, that sucked.

I won't spoil it with any details, I'll just say it was one of the crappier endings to a TV series I've seen in awhile.

It was, I am disappointed.

OMG tell me what happen!!!!! ive been watching the censored version on A&E i think im gonna buy the dvd set

The ending was pretty good actually. Perfectly fitted the theme of the series. You may have wanted more, but in the end, in the Sopranos world, everybody will always go on without reason, without good motives, without morals. The final episodes finished most storylines and showed that in the series no one really has learned and will change.
I thought it was really good. But then again everybody who really expect Tony to end up dead, in the witness protection or in prison, have no idea what this series have been about, because every knew the chances of that happening were really slim.

My thoughts:

Spoiler :
Do you think that, if the series ever returned, that Tony is put in jail after the indiction?

One scene that did crack me up was the FBI agent lying in bed when he got the call about <you know who if you watched> getting killed.

Paulie and the cat were somewhat humorous. I though about making a dumb joke about it in the cat thread, but was able to restrain myself.

I think the main point is that we don't know and that the viewer doesn't know. The series will no return and this is really the end. Hypothetically, I do think it would be logical that if
Spoiler :
Carlo ratted Tony out, Tony would go down and will be jailed. In that case he will probably have a similar faith as Junior or Johnny Sacks. Therefore it's good the show stops here, otherwise it would just be a rerun of what we already have seen.

That is what I was saying, if it continued.

Yeah in that case it would end up as I stated in the spoiler, although I doubt it would be very much fun.

Spoiler a Godfather idea :
I like to think that Tony will get the brother of Carlo Gervasi from Sicily, who speaks no English, to the trial. When Carlo sees his brother, he will not give any evidence.

Haha. I don't think Tony is so smart and that there is so much respect and commitment in the Sopranos world.
