Oh I dunno, the Americans can write some good books.

I'm told that I'll learn to appreaciate the Great Gatsby at some point.

Frankly though the shakespear is beating it.

I never really liked the Great Gatsby, not that it was a bad book mind you. I really dislike Mark Twain books though, Huckleberry Finn was an awful book.

I prefer things like Catch-22 and Ferenheit 451.

I never really liked Shakespeare though, I mean, his usage of English is beautiful and all, but I've never really appreciated it. Its probably because I've never read much of it.

Currently reading Mrs. Dalloway. Those english sure know English!

As for American literature - most of it is rubbish. Unfortunately, the same goes for much of any other literature...
