I always thought you could only build one of these per mission...

These are so called militia which have absolutely nothing to do with real miltary.
The two leading the square are actually models.
So it's just some big “I like women in uniform” fantasy.:p

Richard Dawkins once asked a Chinese student of his to find out why Europeans thought all Chinese(and japanese and koreans) looked alike. The student's final conclusion was that they all actually did look alike(more alike than Europeans at least). I think it was from The Ancestors Tale.

What game is the title of the thread referring to by the way? I can't remember a game where I could only build one "parade" per mission.

I knew it!

Red Alert - one Tanya per mission.

I remember reading that they organized the soldiers by height for the parade, so yeah, they would be all the same height.

In all drill formations for review, you align tallest to shortest. In a big formation there can be significant hieght differences, but the idea is to make the difference a gradual change along the entire length of the formation. The front right corner will be tallest, and the back left corner will be the shortest.

China is going the same way as Japan with better taste fortunately. (It's also less likely to get one arrested).

Oh God, now we know the West is doomed, China is about to overtake Japan in weird fetishes too? They have left no stone unturned!

EDIT: I was beat by mere secondes :(

Exactly - we did the same thing in school!

Well, it's fan-freaking-tastic!!!

Dunno, I was kicked out the "military training" parade for being too tall back in college.

Nah, the army chick in between the Navy and Airforce chick in the second pick couldn't keep her eyes front. I expect she was executed for this egregious error in proper drill soon afterward.

Yeah, that's how I finally figured out it wasn't photoshopped. After five or ten minutes of carefully examining and comparing various other bits... :mischief:

I'm sure the problem is that you would have had the pick of all the ladies in uniform. They were just jealous :p

I hear that.

I can only imagine the effectiveness when these Weapons of Mass Seduction (I know, I know, I will kick myself in a minute :( ) are unleashed upon the battlefield. If we go to war with China, I'm signing up fo' sho'!

Was it an actually administrative formation or just a performance drill formation? At my school (the Citadel) formation was actually used for military purposes and every cadet was incorporated regardless of size. There were performance drill formations that were more strict, though we never disallowed anyone for heights. I used to be a member of the Summerall Guards, and I was a full foot and a half shorter than the tallest guy.

Some organizations are more strict though. The Marine Corps silent drill team does have strict physical requirments for all sorts of things in order to be a member.

It's difficult to imagine them catching up in that particular area, but I'm keen to keep current on their attempts to close the gap.

Five months ago, there were notices posted everywhere to recruit these so called women militia square. So I was expecting something more fantastic than this...

I'm more than happy when the officer tell me that I didn't need to go through all this boring stuff when it's about 38℃ outside and I even managed to get a "outstanding trainee" reward as compensation by pretending my feeling was hurt.

Every college student in China has to go through some kind of so called military training. But it's all about formation drilling like goose step, boring stuff.

Though I'm sure the realities of being captured and punished by these warrior princesses won't quite live up to my fantasies...

Personally I find the existance of the fetish gap far more inhibitive to Chinese super power status than the missile gap. They need to redouble their efforts, I want to see tentacle rape and parades of 45 year old dudes in sailor moon outfits before I declare China a peer power.
