I always thought you could only build one of these per mission...

We're talking about a parade and the image that is put forth by clowning the women in uniform.

and how you are delightfully ignoring the clowning of men in uniform.

If there ever is going to be a world army. I say Israel provides the soldiers, while China does the outfits.

Let's try to isolate just what your problem is with these uniforms, shall we?

1) Is it the color red? Because red is very important to both traditional Chinese culture and the Chinese Communist Party. You might also have a thing or two to say to the Coldstream Guards.

2) Is it the skirt and heels? Because most female dress uniforms around the world include both, and yes that includes real soldiers with real uniforms.

3) Is it that the uniform serves no purpose other than to look good? Well, all dress uniforms serve that purpose and that purpose alone.

4) Is it that you find the uniforms sexually attractive? Well, many women can tell you they find male military dress uniforms quite attractive as well.

Umm.... I don't see men in short skirts and heeled white jack-boots. Because, well, that woud be stupid... right? But somehow it is ok for women??

Ecofarm probably wants all the women wearing Burkhas.

What kind of crap is this?

I'm arguing that women should wear the same uniform as men and not be dressed differently just because they are female. They are not models for us to play dress-up with and judge by how nice they look in heels and skirts. They are soldiers and should be treated that way. They should get the same respect as men, and that's not going to happen as long as we dress them like show-girls.

Is it that the uniform serves no purpose other than to look good? Well, all dress uniforms serve that purpose and that purpose alone.

This is where you are wrong. The purpose of a dress uniform is to project professionalism. There is only one profession highlighted in these uniforms, and it's not soldier.

Most women find men in dress uniforms sexy, so why shouldn't women in their dress uniforms look sexy to men? It's called equality :p

Why don't we just put them in bikinis and give em some whip-cream?

Hell, let's keep em barefoot for the parade. Maybe with some of those little chinese-shoes-for-females.

Well, then, this is clearly a problem shared by nearly all female dress uniforms around the world, and not a few male. What profession would you say is highlighted by the Coldsteam Guards' bright red uniforms and absurd looking Shakos? Thus your conclusion that:

They are not real soldiers. Anyone can see that by their absurd uniforms (skirts and white jack-boots with heels). They are probably the whores for the army.

seems quite a bit premature doesn't it?

You also seemed to have problems with my points 2 and 4. Care to respond?

"I don't see men in women's clothing, cuz that would be stupid...but it's okay for women to wear women's clothing? MADNESS!!" :run::run::run:

Dressing women up in stupid uniforms meant more to show their curves than project professionalism is wrong; I don't care where it happens.

Saying they were the army whores, I was being over-the-top to prove a point about the image being presented. A point that I guess you have completely missed.

I don't care about your "points 2 and 4" whatever they are. My first sentence in this post stands without qualification.

Double standard much? It's not like the clothing is particularly revealing.

Is this thread about men in sparkly uniforms, or about women being used as sex symbols instead of the professional soldiers they are supposed to be?

If some army thinks that bright colors excudes professionalism because of some previous tradition, that's their business. It is not discrimination according to sex. Stop changing the topic.

So again we come to the issue that you don't think women should ever be allowed to wear skirts. Why?

I'm done with people putting words in my mouth. I've made my position on this clear enough. If anyone wants to actually discuss how women are being clowned instead of being treated like professional soldiers, I'll have that discussion.

^ Reported for trolling.

I don't see how this post is necessary, and it's a legitimate point. You don't think the women should be allowed to wear skirts, which are a female article of clothing, but you have nothing against gaudy men's uniforms. It's a double standard you haven't properly addressed, as your previous post on the subject dodged the question.

I never said that women "should never be allowed to wear skirts ever".

Don't put words in my mouth.

We are talking about uniforms, not clothing that people CHOOSE to wear. And I sure as hell am not talking about civilian dress, as is implied by the inflamatory comment.

As a guy who goes to nude beaches with my gf, I think it's outrageous that some people are trying to paint me as some kind of anti-skirt, pro-burka person by twisting my words on this specific subject.

Thank you for the clarification.

Why would it be acceptable to force the opposite, then? Why would it be okay for women to be forced to wear men's clothing? Isn't that an attack on their femininity? I simply do not understand where your standard is or the criteria behind it.
