If you had to be a teacher..

Which would you teach?

High school, preferably advanced classes with upper class men so I don't have to repeat my self too much.

school with teenagers, make minds awaken!

I already teach at university. I might just manage secondary school, but probably not.

I think it unlikely to go into teaching, but if I did I'd be by far more comfortable at university level. Most of those who don't want to learn should have been cleared out by then. Maybe secondary school at a pinch, but I wouldn't be too keen on teaching the younger elements, and certainly not at lower schools.

Id pick High School (which for me is grades 7-11, which may include your middle school), which is also where I plan on teaching. English, because they really dont teach a lot, and just read and so on.

University or a sixth form; secondary school has those annoying retards in the classroom; primary school is full of kids.

Oh wait, I would also teach history, as you really need a good teacher to make it interesting and it's such a good subject, try make their minds work and inroduce them to many new things :)

I chose university since that's the best approximation for me. I'd love to one day teach at the technical school that I attend (Puget Sound Mixological Academy). My main interest are in Composition (creating new drinks) and Presentation (matching glass-structures to certain compositions for a visually pleasurable experience)

I think teaching at a University would be the best (since I can't stand kids), but the path to get there is prohibitively difficult, so I doubt I'll ever end up teaching.

For all work you have to do to become a professor...the pay just isn't worth it.

If High School band teachers made 65,000 a year in midwestern money (instead of say, NYC money), I would have become a band teacher.

I would like to teach history in the last year(s) of High School. Mainly because it is so easy to manipulate children of that age , and other than the easiness of it , that is a very good age to manipulate them . Provided you group the majority together , learn their views and then appear as something different than other teachers , someone they can believe to. Then brainwash your propaganda upon them. It is interesting to do it as it isn't a lesson but a social discussion with friends but not equals and a learning experience.

I prefer my version of opening their minds to the world around them more...

High school or uni. I possess a great loathing for children, to be honest, and have no patience with'em.
