Illegal immigration supported by the media

What’s so hard to understand?
Let's see, Mexico's economy is in the dumps and we have a strong vibrant economy, hm... Despite their laws, Mexico continues to have illegal immigration problems and rampant corruption as the enforcement agents rob illegal immigrants and leave them to rot. Yeah, the US should be more like Mexico!

Reporters aren't overpaid....reporters at most newspapers (other than the big ones), make almost no money. Ron Burgundy might have a mexican to mow his lawn, but not most of the "media"

Im talking about the ones that deliver news via television and big name news stations as well as some local. Of course newspaper writers, pro-illegal immigration or not, aren't going to be making that much money. Their impact is typically less influential as well. Haha Ron Burgandy  San Diego is German for "Whale's Vagina".

Well those who deliver news on TV are the ones who certainly are raking in enough money to pay for an illegal immigrant or two, not that all of them do though, but if I had to make a bet Im sure many do since most are overly concerned with their social status anyways.

What I'd like to understand - why are Mexicans protesting in the USA when they should be protesting in Mexico to make their country better - so they don't have to leave.

ROFL, yeah, because ALL the protesters are Mexican. Nice.

And, no, I don't live in Oregon.

And to see if my point is right, what area of what state do you live in garric?
Bay Area, California. Very liberal community as one from California like you would note.

Yes they are. Or perhaps liberal sympathizers, however, they are irrelevant.

Just curious, is it possible, at all, for you to consider a question w/out the liberal stereotyping? It could actually be an interesting discussion if we could cut this boorishness out.

The truth is, this isn't an issue that breaks by stereotypical lib/conservative lines.

And illegals come from all over Central/South America as well as the Far East and Eastern Europe. Additionally, many of the people at the rallies, most in fact, I'd wager, are either legal immigrants or citizens.

It is an interesting topic if we can cut some of the hyperbole.

Depends where you live. Round here the general consensus is in agreement with him. Becauase maybe we actually have immigrants down here? :hmm:

We have thousands of Immigrants in Ohio too...pretty much the whole country has them. Columbus and the towns around it would be screwed without them

BTW garric, Oregon has its fair share of immigrants, legal and illegal. I see them all the time. People come here from everywhere. After all it is where the pioneers went back in the day during the great western expansion. So keep yo trap shut about stuff you don't know.

I think we let them stay. Why? We need a working class, and Mexicans work harder than poor Americans who live on welfare.....

Duh!!! Americans, well people in Wisconsin anyway, can only get welfare if they're unemployed and looking for work (thus they are not working!), or something along the lines of currently getting an education for a job (though I am a student, this doesn't really affect me). Most of my co-workers don't make nearly enough to get above the poverty line, and they are extremely hard working. Most of which have 2 jobs. I'm also nearly on welfare, as I'm a college student, and I work 10-15 hours a day, then I do schoolwork. I bust my a$$ and get paid not a whole lot for doing so.

The area here I live at has a high immigrant and illegal immigrant population, and I am an immigrant myself, so I would know what the situation is like.
