3 Days Later

"At this point, we realized through radio that that was not a one time thing, nor related to any action we did. All throughout Syria, increasingly pro-Greek militia groups have been assaulting Order positions. While the Damascus Assassins have just been incredibly unlucky being wiped out like that, it was clear to the Mentor that there was no way we can hold Syria, and has ordered a withdrawal from Syria.

"We're going to let those cultists take our secrets?". That was the only my girlfriend would mutter the whole past two days or so. She did not seem happy by this proposition at all. This seemed to climax yesterday, as she turned the [past tense version of the act in which a person is sentenced to hell] van around to go north. We were literally turning around. Apparently, a bunch of extremely dedicated Assassins across the world are going to Masyaf now to evacuate the knowledge in it, and since I'm with Fariha, I'm going as well.

I tried telling her we're only going to get killed doing this, but she is adamant on making sure nothing gets to Greek hands. I know I can't convince her otherwise, so I just bit my tongue and now I'm hoping for the best....

---

Two days later from last entry

I saw him. HIM. THE MENTOR. I am only a recent member and I just saw the leader of the group personally. Holy crap, this is beyond words to describe what happened. But I am going to try anyways.

Obviously, we reached Masayf. The citadel was huge and imposing on the hill it rested upon. The whole thing is been in a state of disrepair ever since Ezio last visited it during the Renaissance. From there it was slowly left to wither away, as it was assumed that The Codex was safely retrieved and put back together. However, it recently, in the past 100 years or so, that there was in fact a huge underground library with knowledge so secret that even the Mentors of previous years have forgotten. I was IN there.

But that comes much later. Anyways, we pull up to the citadel, and a bunch of fellow Assassins come to greet us. We told them how we were the last ones alive in the Damascus Branch, and that we turned around from our flight to be here. They in turn told us that this matter was of so much importance, that the freaking Mentor is coming to make sure nothing screws up around here. The group continued that we should make ourselves comfortable as we wait for him, as no one is allowed inside until he comes. We thanked them and went back to our van.

From there, Fariha almost killed me with one of her hugs. The two of us had been through a lot in the past five days, especially when we tried crossing that bridge. That was hell. She was glad we made it through, and that we made a good team together. Before it got more intimate, a huge armed convoy from the west came. Everyone around started cheering and applauding. Fariha knew what it meant and montioned me to follow her to get a closer look.

Out came the Mentor, Dominico Notoriano, and bunch of Master Assassins! They walked up to the doors of the citadel, and then the man gave a speech with his Italian-accented Arabic. He started to denounce the religious fanatics up in Athens, and how he was afraid this day would come if Masyaf's vast knowledge base fell into enemy hands. After a while about talking about that, he shocked us all about creating new chapters, and how the Order must expand further to survive. It brought me back to Damascus, and all the fear I had. At that point, I was too busy reliving the past to hear what he said.

But I woke up from my trance just in time to hear his ending. He wants us to go into the library and take all the books we can find, and bring it to the convoy. He also claimed that with the amount of Assassins gathered, it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. With that said, he opened the doors, and we all rushed inside like a mob at a Black Friday sale. Nothing could stop us from wanting to see where it all began... until we saw it.

It was dusty and worn down. It looked hardly like any worthy Assassin capital like Monteriggioni. Granted, one was currently used and the other wasn't, but still. Dominico led us downstairs, to a door with five key slots in it. He obviously knew what he was doing, for he put five keys in each slot and opened it. In there, we saw a massive library. No, to say massive is to not give it justice. I can not describe how much books were there. We all started working on taking the books off the shelves and putting them in carts. Then others took the carts to the convoy and came back. Both Fariha and I had book seizing duty, so that is what I did. While all the books I grabbed by nature are going to be interesting, the one that caught my eye was of the Pieces of Eden. I heard the story countless times and I thought of it as a weird tale, but Altiar wrote this book. In a Christian analogy, this would be like seeing a book about God that Jesus wrote. This was hard fact the pieces have existed at least in the past.

After about an hour (not 30 minutes), we were all done, and some of the Master Assassins were checking out the convoy to make sure everything was okay. Meanwhile, the Mentor came to personally talk with the Assassins that have gathered here. To make it even more unreal, the first person he wanted to talk to was.... me. He just saw me minding my own buisness, and he came over to hear my story. I must admit, I was stuttering like hell and couldn't spit anything out. Fariha came over to the rescue and started explaining how I was new and the events the two of us been through.

He asked for my feather, just out of curiosity. To my astonishment, I still had it, and I showed him the feather. He told me, with his thick accent, that I was going to be a Mentor one day, for he saw me doing great things. I nervously laughed, for I still don't see how he could see that in me. Fariha smiled and gave me an embrace of doom once again. Dominico added that wants me and my girlfriend to go start a chapter in Japan with a couple of other Assassins. He added that the Mobian government was oppressing its people, and that as the protector of humanity it is our job to save them. I protested that I didn't know Japanese, but apparently now they speak English by force there. I protested I didn't know English, but Fariha stated she did, and could teach me later. I sighed for I knew I was leaving the Middle East for a long time. Next stop: Japan!

Now, this will be the last time I ever write in this, for a Master Assassin wants me to donate this in the vault for a primary source. As I write this, she is giving me a dirty look to just hand it to her. But I simply must write this experince down if I was to donate it!"

Offer trade to the Republic of Coruscant

With the lands in Southeast Asia becoming more scarce. Hanna has shifted her focus on developing the Republic's military in the name of self preservation. "Shadow knows how to put up a good facade" Hanna said speaking with Aerith "But I know better." Aerith, looking confused asked how the chancellor unraveled Shadow's motives. "His empire is built on a cult of personality with promises of prosperity to his human citizens when in the shadows, he secretly conducts his Furrycentric persecution against them. It's no different to what happened in the end days of the Old Republic" Hanna then ended her statement "We should remain prudent in their dealings with them. They've already have Siberia and Hawaii. It won't surprise me to learn that their human population started to mysteriously dwindle and catch the eye of the Enclave." As soon as the group reached the middle row of the assembled troops for the Chancellor's inspection, Secretary of State Johnson received a call "Madam Chancellor, we've received word that the The Tri Kingdoms have waged war against to the Dreamlanders." Hanna looked with bewilderment "A nation of elves are attacking the Dreamlanders." Then she thought for a moment "We need to find friends quickly and fast."

Hanna then decided to embark on a voyage to the The Greater Gulf Imperium aboard the Rorikstead Super Battleship to forge an alliance between the two nations. Hanna kept her composure as she met with the delegates of the Gulf Imperium and keeping her personal feelings about the tapings of the Galactic Empire to herself. Both Hanna and Tifa met with Han Bin Solo, who is the Imperial Foreign Minister to the Imperium as they disembark the Rorikstead. "Ahh, hello Chancellor of Coruscant, how can we help you?" Han Bin Solo said just as Hanna and Tifa step off the boarding plank "The situation in the China region as well as the Empire of the Rising Quill has made me concerned about the region" Hanna said. Hanna unfurls a document that she kept in her pocket "Just recently, we learned that the Tri Kingdoms have attacked the Dreamlanders. To that..." Hanna puts down the note "...we'd like to propose a defensive military alliance to better preserve both of our nations." Hanna signals Tifa to pass the official document to Han Bin Solo "I'll be sure to let our leader know about your proposal and will quickly get back to you." Solo said as Tifa passes the document to him. Both Tifa and Hanna walked back up the gangway into the Rorikstead as it heads back to the ocean.

The Rorikstead flies above the ocean bypassing the newly conquered lands of Hawaii. Hanna and Tifa, from the bridge of the Rorikstead, see the flag of the Empire of the Rising Quill flailing away in the Pacific wind. "God may he watch over the human population there, there going to need it once Shadow starts his anti-Human eugenics against them." Hanna said with a sad and remorseful look on her face. Hanna, with her binoculars, looked at the beaches and noticed the beaches were void of humans enjoying the surf. Only the sight of hedgehogs and a few echidnas. Hanna, clenched her fist and turned away from the windows "Get us out of here, full speed" Hanna ordered the captain "It just brings back old memories of when the Empire persecuted their opposition."

MkX7J.png

The Rorikstead docked at the Enclave Oil Rig. From the bridge, Hanna notices a bunch of power armored soldiers assembling their ranks. "I guess were not the only one with power armor issued to troops" Hanna said to Tifa. Hanna and Tifa disembarked from the Rorikstead onto the Enclave Oil Rig's docks. General Warfield approached the group "I never expected to have a visit from the Republic of Coruscanti, what brings you to our oil rig." Hanna, postures herself and explains the situation that was of most concern of her, the Empire of the Rising Quill "The Republic has been very concerned with the internal affairs of the Rising Quill. Their Furrycentric policies against humans is quite unsettling." General Warfield puts his hands onto his chin as Hanna continues "Just recently we passed by the islands of Hawaii and noticed the Rising Quill has just settled in there." Hanna takes a deep breath "However, the island is devoid of humans. Initially our scout ships detected that there were human life on that island in the form of small settlements. Now it's just filled with Hedgehogs." The General's brow grew into a frown "So they're making encroachments into the lands belonging to the Enclave!" the General looked to the sea "No doubt they're using some sort of biological agent to chemically neuter the human population." The General puffed up his chest "No matter, we have an ace in our sleave that will bring these god awful furries to their knees!" The general then looks at Hanna and asks her "And your population is baseline human?" Hanna, with no delay "Of course, we safely came from the Republic's colony on Ganymede. Far away from any mutigenic hazards." The general broke into a smile "Then you have no need to worry about our ace in the deck." The general thought for a moment "I'll speak with my superiors about the situation about the Empire of the Rising Quill and well get back to you." Hanna and Tifa bows to the general and gave him their thanks and return back to the Rorikstead.

The Rorikstead sailed passed the Cape of Good hope and to Free Commieland. "Why are we heading to Free Commieland?" Tifa asked in confusion. "We've gotten a message from them on an offer on a trade deal. Given the situation at hand with the Dreamlanders about to get pummeled by the Tri Kingdoms, it's prudent that we negotiate a deal with them." The Rorikstead docked into one of the ports of Free Commieland where they met with Comrade Clothilde Emilie. With a smile on his face Comrade Emilie said "It's good that you could come in such short notice." Hanna, as she disembarks the Rorikstead said to him "Well, you did caught me while I was doing my diplomatic run in the Pacific and the Middle East." Tifa then interrupts "About that trade deal you offered" Comrade Emilie enthusiastically said "Ahh yes, given that our last trade partner has gone up and cut us out. We'd figure to trade with you." Hanna, looking at a photo of troops at the Dreamland-Tri Kingdoms border, said "Given the situation at hand, I find that it's Prudent to accept the deal and have it go into effect in the event the Dreamlanders fall to the Tri Kingdoms." Tifa then continues "I hope, if the great game manager of this thread would accept that, if not then we'd have to cancel the Trade with the Dreamlanders." Hanna, looked at Tifa with shock "Tifa! Did you just broke the fourth wall?!" Tifa simply blushed. Then the group had a hearty laugh and Tifa and Hanna borded the Rorikstead back home.

The first elections of the republic were rather one sided. The Freedom Coalitionwon over 70% of the vote the only other party with a significant number of votes was the Workers Party. Here were the results:
76%: Freedom Coalition
15% Workers Party
9% Other (Green, Radical Military etc...). Here is a map of the voting reults by district.

Overall, the succes of the Freedom Coalition could be attributed to their successful first term. The fall of a dictator and effective restoration of order have increased the popularity of the Freedom Coalition. The workers party has a primary support base in Venuzvela which was never ruled by the Lima tyrant and had a large number of socialist supporters.

Red: Workers

General Warfield stood still as the Rorikstead lifted back into the sky. As soon as the massive aircraft left his sight, General Warfield turned and walked back into the ENCLAVE facility. He held his breath, counted to three, and then- "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED? YOU IDIOTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OUR INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE! HOW DID YOU NOT SEE THIS...." Warfield gestured wildly, seemingly unable to find words "This...Coruscant Republic COMING!?"

"Sir." A white-coated technician volunteered. "All data pointed towards the idea that many other continents sank beneath the seas. You heard it from her, they came from a previously unknown colony on Ganymede."

"SO? IT'S YOUR DAMN JOB, THE ENTIRE REASON YOU ARE PAID, TO VERIFY INFORMATION LIKE THIS!" Warfield bellowed. "THANK THE GOD OF OUR FOREFATHERS THAT YOU FOUND OUT THE NAME OF THAT AIRCRAFT AND THE PROPER ADJECTIVE TO ADDRESS THOSE...PEOPLE WITH!" Warfield suddenly quieted down. "Now. You are going to do your jobs. Get a Vertibird up to verify whether or not the state of Hawaii is sunk beneath the waves or occupied by mutants or IS A GODDAMN PORTAL TO 1862!"

The technicians scurried from the antechamber like ants from underneath a rock.

General Warfield purposefully strode out of the antechamber and down the hall into an elevator. Yankee doodle went to town... Warfield stepped out of the thankfully very fast elevator, and proceeded to a door marked "Office of the President". Warfield opened the door to find four people in the room. A young woman with blue eyes & brown hair sitting on the President's desk, an older man with glasses lounging in one of the reception chairs, and two secret service agents behind the President's desk. Centered on the President's chair was a figure shrouded in darkness, even though the room was well lit.

"General Warfield, good of you to make it." The dark figure issued in a hiss. "We were just beginning. As all of you know, The Enclave is not in a good position. First we discover insurgents holding on to the Eastern Seaboard, then a third power in possession of Florida, and now an aircraft roughly the size of our HQ comes out of nowhere to negotiate with us. With the acquiring of a copy of the aircraft's data banks by one of our stealth squads, we have pinpointed numerous other nations clogging up the world. Including TWO COMMUNIST nations and three large groupings of mutants."

"Mr. President." Vice President Keene began. "Doesn't all this mean that we need to accelerate our efforts to regain control of our own silos? With enough missiles, we don't need to worry about this 'Empire of the Rising Quill' assuming it even exists!"

"Madam Vice President, with the discovery of technologically advanced insurgents occupying our capital, it does not seem probable that everywhere else in the world has remained desolate. But we will know as soon as that vertibird returns from Hawai'i. You did order that, General?" Dr. Curling questioned.

"Doctor, Madam Vice President, Mr. President, I did order a vertibird to Hawai'i to verify the Coruscantian claims. Until the bird returns to radio range, there are a few things we know for certain:" Warfield explained. "We know there are at least three other forces out there, one of which possesses an aircraft potentially capable of smashing our main base like rice paper. Clearly, we must re-establish control of this country and of our silos faster, we must acquire some sort of navy, and we've got to get on peaceful terms with these Coruscantians. At least for now."

The Invasion of Dreamland was an unexpected event for the Leaders of the GGI. For hours Debate Ragead thoroughout the Senate, and the meetings of the Emperor's Council were similaraly long winded. "We Cannot stand by and allow an agressive power to occupy our northern Neighbour!" Skywalker Declared "It would leave us in an untenable position, our northern border is too large for our troops to effectively defend."

"It is," Lord Vader agreed "and this merely proves my point that our military needs are growing faster than our military capacities. The development of new ships and aircraft should be a much higher priority than it is! We need a defence that can competently engage in every kind of war, and at the moment we dont have one."

"Your obsession with diversity is not the point," Skywalkwer restated his and Vaders old difference once more. "the point is that we don't have enough boots on the ground to defend what we have. We can't keep out any sort of determined attacker, and a few planes won't change that. We need legions, several more of them, if we are to mount anything even remotely resembling an effective defence of our territory!"

"Enough of this." Palpatine's voice was sharp, and at his command both the Defence Minister and the Prime Minister instantly quieted. "We need to expand our military in every way, that much is clear, but there will be time enough to discuss priorities later. For now, we must focus on the immidiate problem."

"This bickering is Pointless." Tarkin was quick to support the Emperor "What we need to establish is a dimplomatic, as well as military strength. We have concentrated recently on expanding the areas under our control, but now that our borders are secure we can begin to evalute our neighbours, and begin prepareing to make plans against potential threats. We also need to determine exactly how much to become involved in this." Han bin Solo cleared his throat, and Palpatine motioned him to speak.

"It's not just the Dreamlanders we need to be concerned about. The situation in Syria is sparking increasing tensions to our west as well, and even though the Illuminators have managed to secure the province, the fact it is so important to the Order may well cause trouble there as well. However, our talks with the Chiss have been going favourabley so far, and I wouldn't discount the possibility we will have to get involved in African Politics soon." Luke scowled, and muttered something about fighting on two fronts, only to be silenced by a glares from both Vader and Palpatine. "The situations with our current neighbours is not all bad either, and trade with both Coruscant and the Order is Flourishing. It may be we can convince at least Coruscant that we might have common interests in Dreamland."

OOC: Just an excerpt of the meeting, not the whole thing. And welcome Luke Skywalker to the stage of talked-about-ness! :p :OOC

OOC: African Colony Justification! :OOC

The Chiss were not human. They looked human enough at a distance; 2 arms, 2 legs, 1 head, all centered around a torso in the same shape and similar proportions to a human. Their blue skin and eerily glowing red eyes put an end to that notion though. Those eyes unnerved Han, seeming to see into the depths of his soul. They spoke a language that Han found Incomprehensible, but fortunately several of them understood Arabic, apparently due to trading contacts with humans to the north. It made things a lot easier.

The Existance of so many other nations, expanding so rapidly around them, had put the Chiss on edge. Their 'ascendancy' appeared to be struggling to ascend, and from what he understood they were completely unprepared to fight the kind of war they would need to remain independant much longer. Although they had some few warriors, thier strength was primarily naval.

And thier Naval strength was impressive. Though Han had little knowledge of Naval warfare, and though the vessels he saw before him were much smaller than those he had seen in other nations harbours, they displayed a calm cofidence that he recognised from the Imperiums own 501st Legion. These, he knew, were people who new thier jobs, who could perform in a battlefield as well as on an inspection. And their commander was equally impressive.

Commander Mith'raw'nuruodo was, from what Han could tell, a pioneer of naval warfare. Though he had only fought small engagements, each one he recounted had been a crushing victory, acheived as much with cunning as with firepower. He was, Han felt, the man Lord Vader had been seeking, one who could lead a fleet of Imperial Warships on par with the Imperial Army. The problem was of course, that Mith'raw'nuruodo was already in the employ of a different nation. But that was what Han was there to change.

Syndic Mitth'ras'safis, the Leader of the Chiss Ascendancy, had realised the vulnerability of his people, and accepted the Emperor's offer to negotiate a potential union. After all, there was no reason members of the Imperium had to be involuntary. And, after 2 months of negotiation, an agreement had finally been reached. The Ascendancy would remain under the rule of 'Thrass', the Imperial army would Ganruntee it's borders and ensure their defence and in return the Ascendancy would become a member state of the Greater Gulf Imperium, and the Chiss Navy would integrate with the so-far non-existant Imperial Navy, becoming it's first fleet. Both sides were quite satisfied with the agreement.
