I think it's time for a new avatar.

It's a combination of the old Equation of Exchange, MV=PQ and the view that the Fed should act to stabilize the growth path of nominal expenditure (hence the 'bar' over PQ).

I don't think I have to right to use a Michelle Branch avatar considering I've never listened to her music (don't hit me!).

I never played Mass Effect either so I don't think I can use those either.

Download GIMP. Paste the picture you want to make transparent into GIMP. Click the magic wand. Click the background. Click delete. Save as a .png or .gif (if you're using it as an avatar, use .gif, it takes up much less space).

Alternatively, employ Paint.NET, which has a much better UI.
