Ah, 'kay.
Could the "send email to user" function be involved in the problem?
Quite possibly. I turned it off for the registered usergroup, and seems to have coincided with the problem being fixed.

<Diair> any admins around?

<Diair> yeah
<Diair> or rather, I didn't get a reply from the message I sent to the moderators yesterday
<Diair> meh
<croxis> you check spam folder?
<Diair> Would you mind bumping that thread you showed me yesterday with my name?
<Diair> yeah
<croxis> whats your forum name again?
<Diair> Diair
I'm pretty sure he's referring to the problem that the forum has been used to produce spam, not that gmail is still treating it as spam. I guess that might take some days til it's most likely resolved by itself.
Have you set them up for separate labels/boxes, by any chance?
[17:33:35] <jnsimp> anyone else having an issue not getting the registration email?
For problems with Gmail putting CFC notifications into the SPAM folder. Here are two solutions:
- Put the from address in the CFC notifications into your contacts list. Gmail will not put e-mail from any of your contacts into SPAM.
- Create a filter matching the from address in the CFC notifications and select the action "Never put into the SPAM folder".
How do I do this? The closest thing I can find is "inviting to chat." I don't want to chat with Thunderfall. I just want my email notifications to appear in the right part of my gmail account.
Just hover your cursor over the email address in your inbox. A pop-up will appear, and you can click on the "Add to contacts" option. However, this didn't stop CivFantics from being sent to Spam for me.
Try the second method of adding a filter in Gmail and selecting the "Never move to SPAM folder". That should definitely work. Note that this action is not available in Gmail's Basic HTML. I had to switch from Basic HTML to the more advanced mode that provides chat. After creating this filter, I went back to Basic HTML mode and now none all my CFC notifications are going into my Inbox as expected.
There should be an add filter link near the top of the main Gmail web page (where a list of your latest e-mail subject lines are displayed).
