IOT Organisational and Discussion Thread

It isn't like any of the histories were realistic anyway.

I also did not ask for histories in the sign-up. It is very much a strategy and tactics game, like I said earlier.

That, sir, is the link to a story I am writing in the S&T forums. It has no relevance.

Anyway, I prefer for the games I play to make at least a modicum of sense, something which Rapidfire lost when every other nation added Roman to their name without attempting to explain. Part of the fun for me is reading the creative backgrounds that people come up with for their nations, and the interlocking stories people write about their nations. Regardless, I'm out of it, so it doest matter anymore.

You mean after you jumped on the bandwagon and made the third Rome, right

and that is what Iron and Blood 2 has become. I enjoy that game, (look at my embassy to see how much detail effort I put in), however, many left that game because of this change. Some wanted a simpler game, hence what I created.

I do not have the time to manage a full blown Iron and Blood Game, at this time, but a few players will be happy to simply place orders and play out strategies. The Rome(s) is simply a bit of fun.

Can we stop complaining about Rome(s)? This is the IOT Organisational and Discussion Thread, not the IOT Let's Complain About Rome(s) in I&B 3 Thread.

Just to let you guys know IB3 sign-up are closing in 3 days ... and I have curtailed the Romes a bit.

This is just a small suggestion to any GM who are running an IOT game. Please, please, Please, update your player rosters in the OP. I signed up for one nation in IOT Valkyrie yet never saw any sort of acknowledgement that I was on the list and causing most people to assume the nation in question is open and free.

As many players as they want can play in one nation in Valkyrie...

And if you were active in the thread people might know that Japan had someone in it already.

It would have been nice to know that the game was starting. Typically I just sign up and do something else while waiting till the game gets started, I don't stick around and spam banter around.
