I am taking the server down for a few hours since we're going to shuffle furniture around in the living room, including the computers and the server. I will post here when everything is back up and running.

I hate computers.

The system HDD just died in my server. To make matters even better, I don't have the money needed to purchase a new one right now either. So, even though I have the savegames from before I took the game down yesterday (Thank God I had the foresight to do a daily server backup schedule), I don't have any server to put the game back up on.

Sigh.

Thanks to some extremely generous people over at Realms Beyond (much much credits to novice, plako and wetbandit so far) who have donated money to me so that I can buy a new HD, I will get the game back up on a temporary disk tonight or tomorrow, and I will get a new HD that I can run the game properly again next week! The OS is currently running on a 60 GB SSD, and since SSD's doesn't really like a lot of write operations, I could not run the game on that for an extended period of time. I am getting a Western Digital RED NAS edition disk, which has a high tolerance for 24/7 usage, as replacement.

The game is back up on my side. Can someone please log in and verify that the internal firewall in the server is configured correctly, and that the game is actually alive?

Sorry, i am paused game for Uciv. but than remember - they can turned in any phases and unpaused. i hope they note lose turn.
