MIAMI: Naked assailant killed
A man was shot to death by Miami police, and another man was critically injured when his face was half eaten by the naked assailant, police said. The horror began about 2 p.m. Saturday, when gunshots were heard on a causeway off-ramp. A roadside-assistance truck driver saw a naked man chewing on another man’s face and shouted on his loudspeaker for him to back away. A woman also saw the incident and flagged down a police officer. The officer, who has not been identified, approached and, seeing what was happening, ordered the naked man to back away. When he continued the assault, the officer shot him, police said. The attacker did not stop after being shot and the officer continued to shoot, killing him. The other man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, according to police. Names were not released.

I saw some youtube video about this. One comment said: "He is not a zombie, he took cocaine and developed psychosis". The following comment read: "That is what the government wants you to think, so that they can keep drugs illegal".

Well, if there was a zombie outbreak i think there would be more problems than drugs being illegal tbh

In 200 years or so maybe it will be possible to create a potent virus which has the same effect. And then only one mad scientist....

The article mentions "bath salts" and LSD interchangably. "Bath salts" are typically MDPV, a new substance that resembles meth but is far more potent. I suspect the attacker became psychotic as a result of MDPV intoxication, some similar designer drug, or maybe PCP. LSD isn't exactly known to cause cannibalistic attacks, and I wish the news media knew something about drugs before reporting on them.

Or all it would take is for an unscrupulous mad scientist to poison the world's water supplies with the already-existent drug!

You're right. The media mistaking a drug label really invalidates this entire thing.
