JalNES I: Quick and Easy

And LB, no offense, but I'm doing my own strategy this time. I'll pm you with whatever I come up with.

My strategy was fine, but apparently my orders get overruled by a story. PM me if you want, I might just drop this NES seeing as my entire navy could be "turned away" by the Tartessos.*shrug* I dunno, I'll discuss it with you later.

I was very careful to write that section in detail. Your navy had no experience fighting in confined spaces like that. You didn't detail any special tactics to use. So the admiral went ahead and applied his knowledge, which didn't help him much.

Its your NES, and a very good NES that I have enjoy. You do what you want with it. I'm not asking you to change it, its just extraordinarily aggravating and, in my opinion, a little on the unbelievable side that Tartessos can go from not having a navy at all to destroying my entire navy, along with Briton's.

Your shouted voice sounds like thunder's threatening storm or tramping steps of marching troops from Tyre into Sinai. We have heard of your army's hard fought victories in the East and are in awe of them. Or do I misread your cry?

We think we understand your plight and desire for haste in this delicate matter. But, we would be foolish to to neglect the will of Amun and must consult with his priests after they have spilled the entrails of fowl and beast. Of what we do it is the least.

Does this NAP for which you ask have value? Would it ease you mind to know that lowly Egypt sends her armies south to Nubia?

Just because they didn't have a navy doesn't mean they didn't have ships. They had advance warning you were coming, and thus devoted all their energy to raising ships, helped by the Romans.

There are several reasons why their force was superior.

-They had a very long seafaring tradition.
-They knew the geography.
-Their forces were rested, while yours weren't.
-Your forces had no plan in mind except for the general one of blockading Gibraltar.
-They were fighting for their homeland, while your force was thousands of miles from home fighting a war they had no emotional investment in against a strange people.

OOC: The deadline is Friday at midnight. Please get orders in by them.

In addition, as this NES starts to get slower pace, I want to see better plans, etc. Supplies are a must from now on! No prolonged campaign can succeed without them! I will add this to the front page, as this is VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Do I have contact with Novgorod?

From Prussia
To Noricum

We have been peaceful trading partners both prospering from the everlasting flow of trade. In order to ensure continue prosperity we ask for a defensive pact.

Do not tempt us with honeyed words. You would need to offer something more substantial for us to agree to such a NAP.

Then you intend to war with us, unless we pay you tribute? Think carefully here.

Orders in!
hmm, Possilbly a Story Later. JD, is my Resarch okay? and if the EP to assist the formation of that nation won't work, invest it into ships instead. (thoguh I REALLY want that nation.)

That's fine. Do you want to give some troops to them?

Sending orders now. When will update be started?
When I get all the orders, or Saturday morning.

OOC: Great update :D

Ahem, Rome is not officially at war with anyone at war with Tartessos. A few Roman soldiers simply became too enchanted with the local women and decided to stay. ;) Of course, there is the fact that we don't even know you exist...

Actually, you do, as Alsandair visited Rome and JD accepted that story as true.

@JD - I shall cease my whining and forge ahead. Sorry for that :)

No reply from Sparta, and still no real answer from Egypt. Andis, let's get down to peace terms.
