OOC: @JD - I know its a little weak, but my story output is increasing (read some INES for fun) and I'm in a Greek frame of mind. I'll try to get something else out, but I'm at a loss for ideas.
Brother Gaughrainn Discourses on the Dominion of Man
Excerpt: Book 4: On Kingship and the Proper Government
As has been discussed, the proper form of a government is that of a King of Kings, endowed and enlightened by the Spirit of Dagda, steeped in His Holy Wisdom, with knowledge of the Divine. A King in this position recognizes his position as ultimate authority in the land, and yet knows the emptiness of authority in the earthly realm. He rules with the happiness and enlightenment of his people as the ultimate end. This has already been established.
Excerpts: Book 7: On the Priesthood of Druids
While the Hierarchy has its proper place, this is not where the true Druid finds himself. The priests of the city must serve the urban citizen, but the Druids in Communion with Dagda must live apart, for the surest way to enlightenment is to spend the entirety of one’s time in the company of other active pilgrims on the journey. Even so, we must not forsake our work as the teachers of the common man. As such, though our Havens should be set apart, we must not turn back those who seek our aid or our teachings. Aiding others along their path straightens the curves of your own.

The truest home of the Druid is the monastery, the Haven, the Fortress against the pollution and taint of the world. Too long have our people looked outwards when all along Dagda was telling us to look within, within our Kingdom, within our Island, within our hearts, within our souls. This is where the Truth will be found, where Enlightenment will be had. For Dagda has imbued every man with his Spark and Breath of Life. Every man is a manifestation of the Divine Father, Dagda, the Self Created One who spawned all else. The only proper way for a Druid to search within oneself continuously, to be in constant and unending Communion, is through the institution of Brotherhoods throughout the land.

What man would, when given the opportunity to achieve two ends with a single means, give up and surrender such an opportunity when his effort would be single, yet his result doubled? In the same way we look to our Havens. For while we serve the people in their quest for Holiness and we serve ourselves on the path to righteousness, we serve the King of Kings through spreading the light of his law throughout the land and administering the regions for him. His rule is divine and absolute, and his reach far and mighty, and yet his eyes cannot be looking in all places at once; nor his ears hearing all things being said throughout the Dominion. So it is that we take up the mantle of the King and, with his imperial authority, pass judgment on the guilty and reward the pure. In such a way will the Kingdom grow strong.
