Red Stranger commenting on how Japan is evil and wants to conquer the world in 3,2,1......

Sorry guys, but as always you're wrong about me.
I think this is a good thing. Japan is a democracy now, therefore it should be allowed to train and use its military in ways that the US could.

Where is the option "I'm not worried.".. without the nuke thingy.
I guess you could go for the Giant Radioactive Monkey vs the Giant Radioactive Lizard (AKA Godzilla)

North Korea got nukes. The Japs won't be repeating their invasion of Korea anytime soon.
They haven't invaded Korea since Hideyoshi, they're not going to do in again.

Didnt you just go on rambling a while ago, that we should nip the JDF in the budd cause their out get us! Something about the constituion they wanted to change wasnt it?

I'm not quite liking this situation... Nationalism is only good for helping fight wars, and uniting the people... To fight wars (wheather of offense, or defense).

Besides, South Korea would probably ally with China and North Korea over Japan.

I can't think of a better nation to take up its defense. Japan may lie in the east but its practically a western nation.
That's cause they're culture traitors.

They find Chinese culture superior to theirs, and they take on Chinese culture.
Then comes the westeners. They abandon Chinese culture, and take on Western culture.

Exaggeration a smidge?
You might also notice the couple decades China spent chasing the culture of a Georgian Alchoholic, and the centuries it spent adopting the culture and rule of the Manchus.

Not the same, but simmilar.

Like how the US has simmilar, but not the same culture as Britain.

It really depends on what exactly such a war is fought over and how it begins. If fought on economic interests, almost any kind of alliance is possible. If fought admist nationalistic rivalries, expect both Koreas, China, and a good portion of Southeast Asia to gang up against Japan. The amount of good will toward Japan in most places in Asia is directly porportional to its economic relationship with Japan, as Japan has done little to atone for its actions in the second part of the 19th and the first half of the 20th centuries. There are afterall reasons why so many Southeast Asian countries are so eagerly receptive to the rise of China.

How is being a "culture traitor" bad? You see a good new idea, you adopt it. You see a way of living in which you prefer, you adjust to it. Persistence of tradition is what lead many, many groups of people to ruin. For an extreme example, consider the Taliban and modern islamic fundamentalism.

I fully support this.

While Japan did commit some of the worst war crimes ever during WWII, it has formally apologized about them many times.

To hold itself back from its own full service military over guilt in the past is rather asinine.

Interesting, do you base any of your other opinions on Metallica lyrics? (It might explain a lot.)

Rofl. Vegetius http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegetius said it a LONG time before Metallica. I worry about our youth today. Truly I do.

Oh...and since you attributed it to Metallica...I guess it explains a lot about YOU.

I thought a Roman said that, or something very similar.
