The short version:
My note were a bit sloppy I had to play this over 4 sittings (RL got in the way)
I played 11 turns
Started a war with the Zulu
Took five cities and we can take Delhi next turn
Made some money selling stuff +200gpt
Lost 220gpt from Japan
Japan Started a war with us
Learned a bunch of new techs including Sanatation, combustion and Espionage, Mass Production is due next turn
Universal Sufferage is built by us (but is helping 0% on WW )
We need a gold winger to straighten everything I mussed up

Other than that they were pretty uneventfull turns :D

PreTurn:
Lyons hires a Scientist to keep from rioting. Look at the Zulu lands and start a plan and set goals.
Switch Aldea de Ribannah to Militia. I'll bet it was set to Stock Exchange for lack of anything better to build. The city has everything.
Switch Avignon from Granary to courthouse. Someone please explain why to build a granary in a size 10 city that will grow in 7 turns and has 6 extra food. Hire a bunch of Scientist to hurry our tech rate to no avail. Move troops. This may be harder than I thought seeing that the Zulu have lots and lots of troops.

The Zulu take most of their units out of Bombay to attack my stack of workers. Luckly I had enough defenders on top to save the stack. Loose 2 units from counterattack.

With the zulu attacking the stack of workers it left only 2 Impi Guarding the city. Attack them Almost loose a full HP Cav to a rImpi. Take the City.

Offer Furs and Dyes for 28gpt to Japan I hope this will keep him from attacking. I can't pull him into any kind of diplomatic agreement. Why? I would like to pull him in on the war against the Zulu to give him somthing to do with his troops. But I can't find how to do that.

We might consider giving the Zulu Peace after we take Delhi. The rest of the cities are quite large and would take time to bombard down to a reasonable size.

The huge stack of workers under the malitia was to run rails. But I found out we can't build rails in enemy territory (this is a learning excercise for me)

Mass Production is due in 1

Sorry I missed commenting before. When I log in I get a long list of subscribed threads with new posts. After I've clicked a couple and returned to the Control Panel the list usually mysteriously empties :hmm: So I'm left trying to track down new messages by hand. I usually manage it, with a combination of the Subscribed Threads list and other serches, but I clearly missed KA01 today Sorry! :blush:

Would an embassy have helped? I don't think we have them with anyone on the other continent.

Nope! In GOTM 20 I railed India up under a RoP before I attacked.

I click the Star button on our capital's caption.
 
Embassy: Right-click on your capital and select "Conduct Espionage". Or you can click on the embassy icon thingy.
 
The little E is only for city investigations or tech stealing. That proves we only had embassies with Zulu and Ottomans. (it doesn't show India because we were already at war with them and you can't do espionage when you are at war except using spies). As I said, the star on our capital is the way to buy embassies.
 
I could play tonight and have it back to you for tomorrow if you want, or I can wait. Let me know.

We haven't heard from Karasu, so I suggest you go for it, and I'll pick it up next. Don't bust a gut. I may have to do the QSC processing tomorrow now. If so KA01 will happen on Wednesday

QSC that reminds me I need to submit mine from GOTM36. I've been so late the past few games I haven't even been submitting my QSC.

The warmongering turns look really good -of course, we were expecting nothing less that that ;)
I am not sure we really have to make peace with the Zulus -I think we should still ally with Ottos against them and let them start their Golden Age, hoping they *will* research something useful at this point.
As Mistfit points out, we may not need to keep on taking cities and invading them -we can let Suleyman do that and just play in defense until the alliance is over.

On the other front, we should really try to make peace with Japan asap -before they ally with all the other civs and everyone revolts to Communism.
