I saw on Reddit that something is happening at the North Korean Embassy in Beijing, speculation being that Kim Jong Un has been assassinated. COMPLETELY UNCONFIRMED, I should add:

In the comments I saw this:
militant said:
I have a source confirming extremely high alert and activity levels at embassies and military installations throughout the region. I was told not to ask anything further, as they're quite busy with the situation and probably not cleared to say anything. This source is a high-level civilian at the Pentagon I knew years ago. I was amazed she responded to me. To be clear, she said nothing about the assassination story or the rumors of Chinese military crossing into NK.

It will be interesting to see if anything is actually happening...

Interesting, though I doubt anything's really happened.

It's 2012, of course he's assassinated.

This will be interesting to pay attention to, although I seriously doubt that it is anything more than everyone being there for his birthday party.

There's a post in the Chinese thread that says that the BBC confirms it but I can't find the source.

I did see a lot on twitter that mention @BBCNewsLive is a fake account that was spreading this rumor...

I have a feeling this is nothing.

There was a tweet by @bbclivenews that "confirmed" the story, though the account has now been closed as a fake. It looks like the story is fake.

Sadly, that's what I expect. Still it would make my (already great) day if he did get assassinated.

Just wondering what your specific grievances (to justify wanting his death are) ?
My grievances are with the government itself, which happens to be led by Kim Jong-Un. To bring down the government and make it Democratic, you have to bring down the ruler.

Just wondering what your specific grievances (to justify wanting his death are) ? We pretty much know nothing about the guy

according to Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Jong-un#Responsibility_for_human_rights_violations
Many reports indicate that the human rights violations under the leadership of Kim Jong-il are continued by Kim Jong-un, ordering to kill defectors, conducting public executions and sending people to political prison camps. It is assumed that he was involved in the bombardment of Yeonpyeong and the Cheonan sinking to strengthen his military credentials and facilitate a successful transition of power from his father

Even if you are a communist leader, you can't simply make the country a democracy in two months.

No, but you can announce to the world your intentions.

Nicky, you are of assuming that Kim Jong-Un is the head of government as well, not just the head of state. Even if that were true, it's pretty despicable to wish another man dead.

"I wonder what a bullet feels like."

Would it be despicable to wish Joseph Stalin dead?

Well, if you believe that all life is sacred, then the answer has to be yes. You might be justified in wishing otherwise and it would be perfectly human to do so, but there you go.
