Kim Jung-Un rumors

Well, if you believe that all life is sacred, then the answer has to be yes. You might be justified in wishing otherwise and it would be perfectly human to do so, but there you go.
I believe all innocent life is sacred. (I'll stop here because we are dancing on the brink of going off topic.)

The Atlantic Wire notes that Chinese journalist Joe Xu also mentioned in a tweet that many cars were seen outside the embassy.

However, Xu mentioned later that the assassination rumor may have been "set up" as a distraction from the media buzz surrounding well-known Chinese police officer Wang Lijun, who is reportedly under investigation after initiating unauthorized contact with the U.S. embassy in Chengdu, according to the International Business Times. Xu wrote that "Wang Lijun" has become a trending topic on Weibo.

An unverified and apparently face account bearing the BBC logo and the handle @BBCLiveNews has posted a misleading tweet: "Confirmed breaking news. North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un assassinated. Updates to follow." As of 4 p.m., no major media outlets had confirmed the truth of this rumor.

.....

My money's on the story being updated that he 1) caught the bullet in his teeth & 2) karate chopped the assassin to death.

If not, that's what he gets for not releasing Jack Donaghy's wife.

Nicky, you are of assuming that Kim Jong-Un is the head of government as well, not just the head of state. Even if that were true, it's pretty despicable to wish another man dead.

To wish another man dead for its own sake sure (Depending, I do think its acceptable to wish a mass murderer would be given justice for his crimes, and that that justice should be death).

To wish a man dead to hopefully bring life to 20 million people, when the man is responsible for the lack of life in those 20 million people? Sign-up sheet please!

Would it be despicable to wish Joseph Stalin dead?

:goodjob: Upvote!

I hope this is real, maybe an end to the grievances faced by North Koreans is near!

My political game theory guess would be that if he were assassinated, it would be because he wanted to end the current regime and usher in a new era of North Korean society, but the old guard wouldn't let that happen.

Does anyone believe this applies to a guy who has held a possibly ceremonial position for only 2 months?

How very Christian of you, Ghostwriter.

Kim Jong-il’s 70th birthday is cause for celebration at the North Korean embassy in Beijing, so much so that building is now abuzz with activity for the multi-day festivities.

Now, along with the planned events, embassy staff can now mark worldwide social-media fueled assassination rumours down as one of the many tributes for the late Dear Leader.

Rumours that Kim Jong-un, North Korea’s newly anointed supreme leader, had been assassinated originated on Chinese microblogging service Weibo Friday, and spread swiftly on Twitter.

It was a birthday party

...but it was his daddy that did that. He hasn't done much of anything yet.

Also, we are assuming he is actually in control and not some other power (like a regency). Killing him could lead to an even-more extreme general taking charge.

Too many Whoppers?

People on this forum have called for Museveni, a far right dude's death, and he isn't comparable to anyone involved in the DPRK's government.

If by "far right dude" you mean "responsible for millions of deaths and an ongoing humanitarian crisis", you probably ought to say that.

"People on this forum" agreeing with wishing nasty people dead doesn't change the issue that it's particularly un-Christian to do so.

He… hasn't, apparently.

Doesn't matter. Blood for the blood god and all that.
