Now that's what I'm talking about... even the super-critical Wolf agrees that's a huge step in the right direction!I played a bit with him during my insomnia :
-A new hat (not textued)
-A modified face
-A chubby torso (a bit bugged, would have to be corrected)

After all the changes, the model looks waaaay better then the initial start, and I too can see "Il Duce" now...Bellissimo! That definitely looks like Mr. Wacky.
This guy envisioned himself as a new Augustus, so it's doubly appropriate you used Augustus for the base. Even has the Roman salute already built-in.
But I wouldn't agree that Augustus for the base was the right choice (other then the animation which is appropriate)... as the default Augustus looks NOTHING like Mussolini... of course Augustus has been so heavily modified by at least three top-notch moders, he looks nothing like Augustus now, and I doubt anyone is going to go "oh, you based Mussolini off of the Augustus model". Anyone not seeing this thread is going to have a heck of a time figuring out who the base model is, and that's a good thing.
Of course, he's looking pretty damn good now... a little more texturing and polish and we'll finally have a good Mussolini.

ok I adjusted the right lip that i messed up before and fixed the lapel problem roland talked about.
I unwrapped the uvs for the hat and took a scren shot of the unwrap and made that into the tga that the hat will map too (whew). So mourndraken your on for making the kepi/fez!
