Now listen up please. I want all of your opinions here. LINES has reached a point of relative calm. Save the conflict between Hawaii and Antarctica, which has yet to be mentioned in an update.
I'd like to put it on hold for the time being for several reasons. Here they are:
-As I said above, we've hit a calm point, the 'end of the IT', although I'm not running an IT/BT system.
-My updates are taking a horrendous time to complete, due to my inexperience with several moderating things when I launched this.
-I have a NES idea that I'd like to moderate. Here it is.
The map is random. There is no magic. Most of the map is black. In the center, there is a 'cradle of civilization', where human civilization first appears.
The first primitive races will form there. They may migrate outwards as the map expands, making new colonies, or stay and fight for their ancestral lands.
Gradually, nations will be pushed from the cradle. But they will often be succeeded by their colonies, or they can flee in exile.
Slowly, the areas of influence in the world will change. Old farmlands will perish, while new ones prosper. Empty, unworked lands will recover. It'll be much like the real world. So, whaddaya think?
And I swear, If you guys like my new idea, I WILL bring back LINES in the summer.
Or we could just stick with this NES.
Here's a picture of the cradle of civilization. The triangles are mountains, and scattered dots (there aren't any yet) will represent uninhabitable desert/tundra.
I'll also use the eco center/religion center/culture center system recently developed in Camille's thread.
