Nkondi 1185, the Capital City of Alaki

She was born with the threat of war over her head. Born to an Amazon warrior and her noble father. Born into a noble house, with wealthy parents, and a powerful warrior mother, she grew. She grew into a young girl of four, cute as could be, yet a tomboy as she imitated her mothers ways. Yet, her mother would not be her main teacher.

It would be battle. It would be suffering. Adversity.

1189, City of Alaki

The city was burning. It seemed that almost nothing could stop the Lengel advance. And the army had come from nowhere, seemingly appearing at the cities gates as if by magic. Her mother had gone to fight of the Lengel forces in the West, but she had not returned. Nor had word ever reached her and her father about what had happened.

Her father had gone to see to the defenses near the gates, but he hadn't returned either. And now the city was on fire. Screams and cries rang out in the doomed city, but the little girl of four merely sat in her home, following her fathers orders to stay put. There was a banging on the door, but the girl barely flinched when the door finally gave way.

A Lengel warrior woman, a bow straped to her back, and blood splatter on her clothes stood in the door way. A foriegn voice rang out from behind her, and the women called back, looking into the unflinching eyes of the young girl. The women barked at her, motioning with her hand. The girl didn't budge. The women growled, and notched an arrow to her bow, and aimed it at the girl. The girl didn't flinch. The Lengel women stopped, and stared at the girl.

****

Chabi was having a good day. Already she had slaughtered helpless Nkondian defense forces as they attempted to fight the horde, laughing as men and women alike fled from her, before shooting them in the back. Chabi was one of the many women in the Lengel horde, and one of the several that fought. Most Lengel women just traveled with horde, supplying their husbands and tending their wounds.

Chabi however, enjoyed the thrill of battle. That, and she was barren. Her husband could not father an heir with her, so he took another wife, although he was still Chabi's husband, but now, as Chabi had dedicated herself to battle instead of children, they had competitions on who was the better shot. Her husband was, but it was to be expected. It was difficult to draw the bow back as a women (not because she was weak, but because of her anatomy).

She had plundered a few homes already, and was working on another one. With a final smash, she managed to knock down the door, and she entered the door way. A voice called out from behind her.

"Chabi! Anything of interest in that one?"

She smirked, and answered back, "If their is, it will be mine before you even begin to attempt to take it!" A laugh was her only reply, and then the sound of another home being broken into. Chabi smiled, and looked in the house. A little girl stood, without fear a little ways from the enterance way.

"Get out of the way, girl, before I kill you," she said, motioning with her hands to pass along the meaning. The girl didn't move at all. Growling, Chabi drew her bow, and notched an arrow. With careful aim, she aimed it straight at the girl's head. The girl refused to move, with defience (and no fear, surprisingly) in her eyes.

A girl without fear, especially so young, was especially rare. Usually a Lengel would kill a person for defying them, yet one's so young could be moulded. Shaped. And a girl without fear would be a prefect protege. And Chabi always did want a daughter of her own...

Nations of Great Promise:

The Swade Academy, though i know little of this nation, has shown great promise in the records of it that i posses. The Swade Academy is a warrior based society, which revolves around whorship of the sword. Though primitive, they show great promise in terms of their ingenuity. It is similar to Gorin culture in that it focuses on technological advancements, though it is rather limited in that area to only the development of swords.

Davar, one of the allies of the Veritas Republic, and one that remained strong after the Great War. Davar has proven itself, in my eyes and that of the Lord Kaiser, to be a great contendor of world. They have made many wise decisions in forgein policy. It had choosen to play down its roll at the end of the Great War, and had absorbed the provinces of Strategium after the fall of Veritas. This increase in population and land may not have been a great one, but the political assertion of such a move was greatly felt. It was a clear statement to the world that Davar was not a nation to be run over. The only threat, in my eyes, that it faces is the rather foolish choice of government, and the Lengel Horde, who pose the greatest threat they have ever faced, greater than that of the CRA.

ooc i was playing civ4 and those "blah blah has completed his great works about who has the most money or w/e well i decided to do that. At the same time showing it from a Gorin point of view.

i have only included nations that Gorin has contact with, trust me i have not forgotten you if you aren't on this list.

OOC: Nothing about the small state which rivals in economic power the individual members of the CRA :p At least, IF Gorin knew about how rich we were :D I've only been around for little more then 5 updates...

Actually Vertis was at 7 at its height. And from what i remember elderania had 4 at its height.

EDIT: Iggy I'll probably give you one turn of orders and two turns of development orders. Due to how my holidays fit in with yours :/

And I might spam the place with stories :p

the chart is simply based on economic power. you are right i should get rid of you from there, we dont have contact yet. I just thought i should because you got so far in such a small time.

Thats why i mention Veritas so much to, cause i think thyalyi did a great job of molding Veritas into a huge power.

and i wasn't to sure about that, i know for sure that it had 6 at one point, which is really high, ill change it

EDIT- just imagine Ortoruski as an Aristotle of Gorin

Trinlin wasn't included in the list, we angered.

@iggy, our population didn't increase from last update till this update?

i originally had you there, but i don't have contact with you so i removed you, i shall do the same with alex's nation (yea i hate your nation's name :p )

i'll put that up there to

In the Ruins of Veritas: An analysis of the Three Provinces of Veritas

When the Veritas Republic collapsed, the problem of dealing with the newly gained territory faced the nations of the CRA. Khemri could not retain its conquered lands, for not only would the people rebel, but the Gorin and Shalamari would need to be paid reparations. Veritas could not be given back its lands, as it would surely return to its imperialistic ways. Hence the Shalamari provided a treaty in which the conquered lands of Veritas would be divided into provinces along ethnic lines.

At first there were 4 provinces, however, the province of Strategium joined Davar, boosting its regional power and pushing it back into the geopolitical foreground. Now three were left, Kalmar being the strongest of the three, and naturally, Gorin's vassal state. Kerania became the weakest successor state, owning this to the fact that it possed no cities and was largly a rural economy. Tellium was the middle power, it's trade routes were powerful and stablizied government.

The attitude of Lord Kaiser Rajo, and the Lord Kaiser before him, towards these 3 successor states, were that of non-involvement. Lord Kaiser Rajo had said "The Gorinese Empire has more important things to do at this time than worry about non-important states". Lord Kaiser Drago Oboroski held this belief to, however i was able to presuade him out of it. I have studied the Keranian state with extreme care, as it posses a problem of massive instability. It has no leader, no capital, my true fear is that it will descend into a barbarian state. Hence why Lord Kaiser Drago Oboroski has stepped in to stabilize the situation. He has, instituted a temporary leader, a natural born Keranian, who is both half Valin and half Keran, named Verimas Irritaoria. I hope this man is competent enough to stablize this young nation until it can form its own government, one that i also hope will be a sensible one. (That of a monarchy or authoritarian rule).

ooc speaking of spaming stories :p i just can't stop writting from this high and mighty position, makes me feel so HIGH AND MIGHTY :D

Umm...Kentharu, I am a Great Power, i have 5 economy.....

And I have the second highest Culture..

AndI'm the Swade Ascendancy, Not the Swade Academy.... Seriously...Eww..Academy!

i demand your post be edited.

sorry will fix it, and your stats say you have 3, i go by stats mate

but i was wondering why iggy didn't count those two cities towards your total EP, oh well, also, on the map, you and your southern neighbor have the same name

BTW...Who is in the CRA? For my own story

Crystal Ridge Alliance- the Gorinese Empire, Shalamari, Khemri, Gerber.

I wrote a story on this, ill try and find it
click here for awesome story about the CRA by me :D

Heh, The CRA still beat the Metalia pact in everything, but in 1-2 turns not in cultural importance! Actually, i think we have more land area, if Iggy would only give us a scale;)

The Great War: How it pushed the Gorinese Empire into Greatness

Before the Great War, the Gorinese Empire was in a dull phase. The economy, though it was doing well, did not even compare to that of Khemri, or Veritas. After the signing of the CRA alliance the economy began to grow. Dasht had grown into a significant trade center.

The sudden entrance of Veritas into the Nurmafer-Khemri sparked the Great War. Now the Gorin economy would mobilize for war on a grand scale. All quarters of every city were pushed to produce to maximum efficiency. No coin would go unwasted. After the Great War had ended, and Khemri began to recover its economic might, while the Shalamari rebuilt their army, Gorin immediately returned to increasing the effeciency of its cities. The advantage the Gorinese Empire had over the others was that it was largely uneffected by the war, hence why it could work on building up the cultural wealth of many of its cities. Gorin was now in a position of great political power. Its armies are intact, and soon to be dawned in iron armor, the Gorinese Empire is perhaps, at its peek. One could not image any greater feet than that of the Gorin people, who came from a violent barbarian tribe, to a peacefull, isolationist nation, to a great Empire, worthy of its grand place in history.

None of this could be acheived without the sacrifice of the soldiers of Gorin's army, the genius of its generals, the cunning of its Lord Kaisers, and the the ingenuity of its scholars. Gorin has already solidified itself in history, the future for the Empire can only be brighter and brighter.

As a result, they believed that they werere the only people anywhere. But Eldos and Eldan commanded them to expand, bringing them into contact with other people. The Eldranian reaction was not pleasant. Their crusade crushed the Dula-Hathran and Gargari. But their next conquests will not be so easy. The feral Nkondi attack them from the north, noble Tristaria and Aney-Tigot from the west, and now Veritas attacks from the south.
