LINESII- Into the Darkness

@erez- I'm only labeling mountain ranges and rivers, but sure, the Aneyan plains it is.

Very well, Crystal Ridge it is. Please remember this when you come for my worthless hide; that I agreed with you on the naming issue. And then, then when you remember this selfless act of humility, maybe, just maybe, you might reconsider your actions and spare me from the terrible death that is to have one's brains eaten alive by half a dozen zombies.

Friends?

...

So... I take it you want to eat my brain. Neat that. :scared:

Umm, can anyone toss me a helmet? (A shotgun and a sack of 'nades would also come in handy...)

You're :crazyeye: and , Kal. And I hope you stay that way! :D

Starting update 1. If you haven't sent orders, send them now. But I'll NPC you kindly, as people haven't had much chance to send orders yet.

Note: For those of you who don't know, I'm a very forgiving mod. If you send in orders while I'm updating, I'll add in your stuff if it isn't too much of a hassle for me.

Creation Stort ;)

The Shortened (first four verses) of the main Gargari Creation Myth

In the beginning, there was everything.

The Sculptor God looked out on his intricate creation and was satisfied; every rock, every stone, every drop of water, and every soul was in a prefect alignment, enduring and eternal, frozen like a work of art.

He moved on, leaving his work behind.

And so universe remained, locked in timelessness, for a period that was both infinite and instant, and in the end, meaningless.

Yet this was not as it would always be, for with a great crash; time was broken from its firm bedrock of space, and as the world quivered in the very first breeze, a joyous laugh rolled out over the first dawn. Existence had been loosend from the cluch of changelessness.

Ages passed...

The roots of history wormed their way into the stone of the Sculptors creation. The wind blew, the sun shone, and the clouds scurried across the faces of the mountains, and the spirits of the land sung in each new dawn.
The laughter was seldom heard any more, as the axis of the world turned.

Yet this was not as it would always be, for with a subtle unfurling, what was once mere stone was stone no more, and the first plant turned its leaves to drink in the suns light, and its spirit to hear a warm chuckle. Life had been freed from the creator’s ice.

Ages passed...

A tide of green swept across the world, lapping on the snowy peaks of the high mountains and skimming across waves of the broad oceans. The trees grew, the grass rustled, and the spirits of the plants sung in the warmth of each new dawn.
The laughter was seldom heard anymore, as the axis of the world turned.

Yet this was not as it would always be, for with loud creaking, a tall pine fell the worlds forest, and the light of the sun illuminated what had been gnawing is roots and stripping its bark, and a lowly termite burrowed back into the wood at the sound of a loud guffaw. Animals had been quickened from the grip of immobility.

Ages passed...

The beasts of the field, the air, and the sea multiplied and spread to every nock and cranny of the earth. And as the wolves coursed through the forests, and the eagles soared into the skies, a chorus of shouts, howls, screams, and songs welcomed the light of each new dawn.
The laughter was seldom heard any more, as the axis of the world turned.

Yet this was not as it would always be, for with a hearty bellow of laughter, the first man, little more than a beast himself, announced his presence to the warm light of the morning sun, and across the valleys was answered by an even greater merriment. Beasts that could think had had the scales of thoughtlessness lifted from their eyes.

Ages passed...

Men wandered out across all the places of the world, hunting, fishing, raising children, and growing old. And as the tribes of men looked over their lands, cries of thanks greeting the rise of each new dawn.
The world rang with the laughter of men, as the axis of the world turned.

And who knows what the possessor of the oldest laugh in the world is going to find funny next...

Orders sent.. now, let's see..

The Dula-hathron Alliance was at first, nothing more then a few brave Hathron's, seeking to know what was byond them.

what they found was a river, and a little town known as Dula. a small farming comunity, defended by some men armed with spears.

at first, the two were wary of each other.. untill the two relized the need for each other.

the Dula were farmers. the rich, dense lands around them were perfectly suitied for it. and they knew the art of pottery, baking the clay in primitive ovens.. and the crude, obsidian spears were sharpened to razor points. but the Dula had little meat. they could only hunt small game birds, and other then a few dogs, domesticated animials were scarse.

the Hathron on the other hand, lived on the vast Hathron plains to the norths, a somewhat dry place, it was not suited for the growing of crops. they were instead forced to tend to their Auroch heards, subsiding on the few root crop and foraged goods they could find. they did not lack meat, but the they had little free tiem. they lacked the clay to make pottery, but they knew how to mine salt, for they needed it to preserve the tons of meat each Auroch bull yeilded when they were harvested, enough to supply them for months on end. their hides yeilded them shelter, in easy to set up huts. they travled as needed, to feed these mighty herds, often of a 100 or more of these mighty beasts. and they helped the Auroch defend themselves from the preditors of the plains.

seperatly, they two were weak. but together, the two became stronger. the Dula traded Pottery, obsidian blades and arrowheads. vegtible and grain.
in exchange, the Hathron provided them great flanks of Salted meat and the ocasional hide, which had many new uses as the Dual Envisioned.. and even the great horns of the Auroch bull, which the Hathron had very little use for, being to great in size to carry, except for a few yo help with the harvest.

and so the Dula-Harthron Alliance begain.. but it soon grew to great, and the pass in the mountains between them to small. they were forced to enlarge pass in the mountains between them, or it would choke them as they grew.

and so the work begain on the Great Duality Pass begain, a wonder that would exist for tha ages to come..
