LK148 - WM, farewell to Greece

Preturn: Used some of the cash to rush a few more libraries.

IBT: One of our transports is sunk by a Privateer.

1730 AD: Build an airport in Australia and start moving some more workers there.
Rush Libraries. For more cash I sell around Atomic Theory.
Also rushing Settlers in Australia. Some Infantry disbanding to make cheaper too.

1735 AD: Filling in with Settlers wherever I can. Up to 64%.

1740 AD: Up to 66 with new towns settled all over. We have several settlers to settle a portion Australia next turn but it looks like we got enough islands and Australia and filling holes we won't need the center of Australia to win.

Oh I also made peace with Brazil as they were going to land some units. This was before I knew I would reach 66% this turn.

I am attaching the game on the final turn. We lost war happiness when I made peace with Brazil, so you may want to raise Lux to avoid a few riots.

IBT: We win:

This is the land we took:

WOW - I knew it we close, but I didn't realize how close.

The Greek blob on the tip of North America is so odd due to claiming it empty. I know I was flooding Alaska during my turn set. And the mini-map still looks like we had a bit to go.

UP next - LK148...

WTG :thumbsup::goodjob::king:

this was a good read.

One interesting thing is that Australia didn't build a single city in the AD time frame. I wonder if they hit some internal unit limit and couldn't build settlers - this could happen if the AI didn't have an exception for settlers.
Interesting - I wonder if the barb rush from changing ages screwed them up and got obssessed with defense. I know playing in Austria you get killed with the barb rush...
