m-NotWIII: A Game of Thrones--Game Thread

 If I was a killer, I wouldn't be coming after you like this. Why go for a harder target than necessary?

This is about me trying to catch the killers, and about you having a not-entirely-plausible cover story.

If you are, it is a risk either way. If I really thought so, I would be accusing you.

I am just surprised that you came out in public right away, so it was a 'going on the offical record that you don't belive me' accusation rather than trying to glean more infomation?

Can I have the Rickety Old Cart? It'd help me tranſport my flour.

Why does landlubber want to be mayor? Is it because he doesn't fear dying from it because he's mafia?

Update Ten

It was a strange day. Most people had remained silent, letting the few people who bothered to speak up control the vote. It was a fairly dangerous application of democracy, but Traum seemed to be largely fine with this. It was like having a real monarch, or something.

Plus, the outcome was largely Traumian. Hunter landlubber had somehow amassed enough votes to become both mayor and the next target of small town justice. The coronation ceremony was scarcely over when it was time to whisk him away to the gallows. He hadn't even had time to exercise any powers before his body snapped against the rope with a dissatisfying thud.

Spoiler :
landlubber was innocent!

Takhisis won a mandate (100% of the item votes decided to give him to rickety old cart), which he accepted with pleasure.

It is now NIGHT!

Night ends Oct. 5 2010.

Update Eleven

It was a strange night when Retired Soldier Winston Hughes wasn't out and about on the streets. Usually he could be found on his favorite street corner knocking back a few and generally smelling like something disagreeable had come up to him and proceeded to vomit all over him, which, granted, was only true once in a while. Were this a normal day, once the sun's rays had pierced through the cloudy sky to greet the citizens of Traum with an apathetic affect, Winston Hughes would have completely failed to notice and do nothing.

It was, however, a strange night. And even more so, because Winston's body actually reacted due to the sun rise, although to say that is a logical fallacy. Rather, he did something and the sun happened to be shining at the same time. What he did was to catch his own head in his lap.

It would have been a neat trick regardless of whether or not Winston Hughes was actually a magician, but in this case, although he had many tricks up his sleeve for getting the better-off to donate some monetary sum for the procurement of fermented grains, his illusionist sleight-of-hands did not extend in the corporeal realm. Everybody had to assume that this was reality.

Eventually someone was brave enough to dig through his belongings, and they found the ornamental sword from earlier. There was also the matter of the mayorship.

It is now DAY!
Vote for a lynch in bold!
Vote for mayorship in bolded red!
Vote for the ornamental sword in bolded blue!

Day ends October 8th!

OOC: interesting time for an update.

Why does landlubber want to be mayor? Is it because he doesn't fear dying from it because he's mafia?

"I heard you say this and it jumped out at me more than what anyone else has said so far. It just feels wrong."

Also Zack, what is a Hawker?

classical_hero, I'd like to hear from you.

I would have thought this town would be a bit more lively... Are you all as sad as me that my sheep have ran away?

You know what would be very good? It would for someone to give my staff back so I can go round up my sheep. kthxbye

Update Twelve

A foul mood overtook the town. It seemed as if the town's residents were just spectators in the game of life. Hardly anyone talked. Nobody walked. The thoughts of the dead weighed heavily on everyone's mind. At least King LightFang had company in his death. These living had no one but each other, and the knowledge that there were evildoers within their ranks.

A few motions were passed, but half-heartedly. In the end, nobody made any effort to do anything. It was decided that the matter of the ornamental sword, the mayorship, and the lynch would all be left to the next day. Like zombies, the remaining five members of the once proud town of Traum shuffled back to their abodes for another restless night.

Maybe some day salvation would come.
