Marians: Sons of Mars

Eh, I enjoy a challenge.

Lessee. So far we have completed orders from:

-Iberia
-Austronesia
-Amazon
-Deseret
-East Rome
-Nubia
-Singapore

There are 13 human players, and yet only 7 have given orders. Arakhor, bestrfcplayer, Abaddon, Lighthearter, ilduce, and Mad Man, please give orders within the next 3 hours or so, before I lock them for the rest of the turn.

Dude, have you corrected errors from the first update?! No! How can I send orders :p

Update 3

The world's nations continue their advance, relationships and basic diplomacy starting to become apparent. Singapore is becoming a marvel for architecture, shipping, and roads, whereas the Zulu are quickly becoming the most militarised nation on Earth. Revolts are becoming ever more common, a natural resistance against the force of progress.

Incidents

India has suffered a massive nationalist revolt in Pakistan. Two provinces are now under rebel control. India's legitimacy is questioned, as seen by their frequent dissenters. This will likely set the Indian state back, as it lacks the power to deal with the revolt in one fell swoop.

Deseret has suffered a nationalist revolt in Texas. Formerly, the rest of Deseret was content enough to prevent the spread of the revolt. Deseret's army, being large and well-trained, is expected to pulverise the rebellion.

Announcements:

Dumanios has joined as the minor power of Albion. I do not know exactly how involved he will be.

Clarification on Revolts:

Provinces in revolt will not affect your income provided you re-conquer them the turn they revolt. You do not collect any base income from provinces in revolt if the revolt has lasted more than a turn.

Also, if you couldn't guess, rebels show up in hot pink. :goodjob:

Shogun Ryu is stunned and appalled that the game went through two updates in a single day:mad:, nevertheless Japan claims Hokkaido and Sakhalin, also we spend all our points on civics.

First, the Alboineers are now a Crimsonish Red.

Second, I claim the two territories surrounding the Thames.

Spend all on Civics, offer all diplomatic agreements with anyone we can.

3 Questions:

1. Does Blitzkrieg allow armies to attack until they are defeated (and if so, do they get an additional bonus every time?), or do they stop after the second time?

2. Will story making have any bonus? Or am I just doing it because I want to (Which I'm okay with that, I'm just used to stories giving you bonuses in NESes for the effort you put into it)?

3. Let's say I get into the Military Branch far enough to the point where I get an additional free army. Will my current extra one lose upkeep or will I get a completely new army that is upkeep free?

For the first few updates, they'll come at about one update per 24 hours, since the first few turns are gonna be boring. :p

1. Does Blitzkrieg allow armies to attack until they are defeated (and if so, do they get an additional bonus every time?), or do they stop after the second time?

Blitzkrieg only gives you a second attack per each victorious army, effectively doubling your capability without extra cost to you.

2. Will story making have any bonus? Or am I just doing it because I want to (Which I'm okay with that, I'm just used to stories giving you bonuses in NESes for the effort you put into it)?

There is no in-game bonus, but there is a hidden bonus: storytelling will keep the game lively and keep players interested, extending its life and therefore allowing it to keep us all entertained for ages to come.

It may be more in-depth than IOT(which relies almost entirely on storytelling to survive since most players hate war), but SoM still will require players' stories to sustain itself.

3. Let's say I get into the Military Branch far enough to the point where I get an additional free army. Will my current extra one lose upkeep or will I get a completely new army that is upkeep free?

The idea is your nation has become so proficient at military techniques that you can support an additional army without consequences; therefore, it eliminates your current maintenance, but doesn't give an extra free army.

War with the Egyptians

The highly advanced Nubians have marched Westward and Northward, conquering the Splendor of Egypt. The Egyptian Pharoah has fled North to escape the incoming army, but the Nubian Generals are confident our generals can defeat them with little difficulty.
