Master Map Change Thread

And yet again more games I want to play but I can't 'cause I'm poor.
game is made in 2004, you can buy a gold edition less than 5 dollar :)
and with some mods like europa barbarorum or roma surrectum 2, it is even better than rome total war 2 imo

graphic differences between vanilla and rs2:

I wasn't correcting you, I was correcting the game. Scipii and Brutii is just incorrect Latin.

Not that it matters much, but in my opinion Rome was where the Total War series went downhill. I really recommend Medieval 1.

Plebs such as you should not bother yourself by seeking to acquire a game where you play as a patrician.
;)

As already said, one spawns later on. Fish + banana + corn should be enough.

Scipiones.

I did not know that. Thank you for telling me.

Question. Does Leoreth plan on implementing any of these changes, or is the best we can hope for is this becoming a modmodmod?

They really rubbed the salt in the wound when they hired Stephen Turnbull as a historical consultant for TW: Shogun.

Still, I think the 4th largest city in the world and the largest city in India should get more food resources.

Not directly. First of all, I like to remain in control of all changes so I can't just merge everything in (and there are a lot of changes by now), and checking everything would take time. But my general impression from this thread is that it changes too much for my tastes anyway.

Yeah. But on account of historical accuracy they had already lost me with Middle Kingdom like troops for Ptolemaic Egypt.

But the gameplay and general atmosphere of the game were even more offputting. M2TW is even more of a disappointment in that regard because it contrasts directly with M1TW's great feel.

I find this picture somewhat beautiful. Post it here.

I miss being able to play with that sexy texture pack.

Here you are. SVN 615 xml, improved graphics included. Go to assets, rename XML file or transfer whereever you want (creating a back-up in case I did something wrong). Replace it with the compressed XML file. Enjoy...

Oh, as much as that is appreciated, the real reason I can't use it is because my not-toaster desktop turned into a big paperweight due to the hard-drive going out, so now I must use this toaster laptop to play Civ.

I play Roma Surrectum II (2.6) of Rome Total War. You should check it out. Rome Total War is a really old game by now but they're modding as good as they did Morrowind. Every building and unit in the game has like a book of historical information on it now. They even use correct Latin, Leoreth =O.

Eta is not n! #languagesnobism

I'm a physics enthusiast but cannot think of a context where eta is used. I also don't speak Greek, but can read Greek letters, so yeah.

The reasons for Mumbai's population growth has a lot to do with Migration. Early on it was nothing more than a backwater province till the British built it up and converted it into a commercial centre.

In modern times it owes its growth more to internal migration from across Maharashtra and Gujarat than anything else. Perhaps there could be a simulator of such a sort where people move from one city to another depending on wealth and health factors. Otherwise, Maharashtra and the region around Mumbai is not rich in food resources. I feel we should avoid trying to make an unhistorically early growth for cities around western India.
