Hey, I know this might be highly inappropriate, but my morale is slipping a tiny bit. I just want to see if people are still enjoying my Mazera Mega Story or if I should just shut it down. Also, if you aren't enjoying it, but have some ideas to make it more interesting, just post them in this thread. Don't hate me. :)

Edit: I'll give you an example of these suggestions. One of my freinds doesn't participate in this stuff, but she recommended a new leader of the Austrin because we don't know Deirdra very well. Enter High Chief Votakara. So yeah, just come up with some ideas and I can work them in automatically. At the moment, the Khazad are weak as Hell. I had planned to have them grow in power, become slightly corrupted by Agares, but still follow the Runes of Kilmorph. They then try to wipe out every civ that doesn't follow the RoK. Instead, Tasunke preempted that and crushed the Khazad back into their capital. Stuff happens.

Well, it'll probably be slowed down a bit. I'm running out of ideas concerning the updates. So try to get as many stories in there as you can. I'm gonna make a week our time count as two months Erebus time. Does that sound fair?

Ok, this is my ideas for now. I'll post more as they come. But keep on voting guys. I wanna make this as fun as possible for you as well as me. It's not very fair if I'm the only one enjoying it.

Small updates

Natural disasters: 4

Goblin activity: 4

War updates: Can happen anytime, but will be slowed.

War updates addendum: If one of your stories involves the capture of the city of another nation, PM me to see if your attacks worked. Note that I will be unbiased in the decision of the war. It should help slow the pace down a bit. Especially with Tasunke, the warmonger in the thread so far.

Stories: As many as you like. Think about other things aside from war, too. Maybe a political uprising is happening and you need to deal with it. It'll help develop some character for your character ideas.

War updates: 8, this includes war, assassinations, stuff like that

Small updates: Just stuff like a continuation to explain what's still happning. The Diranth Clan and the Yokaido. They've been neglected as of so far so it continues.

MAJOR WORLD UPDATES

They will come about..Once a week. They will each contain an updated map.

Map updates: These will take place on Wednesday, then again on the major world update on Sunday.

Does this sound good? Yay? Nay?

I'll amend this as new suggestions and ideas come up. Seriously, keep this up. It's really helping me figure out how to run this.

I've lost track of it, for external reasons (college preparations, balancing my budget for the year, et cetera), though I was enjoying it while I still had the time to peruse it. I'm thinking I could get back into it sometime, though with college itself just around the corner, I doubt it.

For me, it started out as basically just another Random Stories and Fragments thread. I didn't quite get why it was necessary- we already had one and several abandoned ones.

Then it became kind of interesting as it became a sort of text-based RPG. For me, though, it was a little hard to follow and had too much FF and FF+ stuff. I like those mods but haven't really played them recently (all of what I have been doing with Civ recently is modding, I haven't played FFH 2 much either recently) or gotten to know their lore (I guess I'd say that's because the FFH 2 Lore forum has been 99% FFH 2 lore and only recently 1% FFH 2 Modmod Lore). I think their civs are cool mechanics wise and have a good flavorish background but don't have a lot of well-developed lore. Maybe I'm wrong- as I said, there's no Fall Further Lore forum. Which is where I get most of my lore info from.

I haven't done anything in it, though I am kind of tempted to. But for the reasons I outlined above I haven't.

I'd vote "Other" if there was such a choice, but there isn't.

As for ideas as to what I'd do I'd narrow my focus in on a specific civ or part of a civ. FFH already has 21 civs, FF adds 8, countless modmods, modmodmods, and even a few modmodmodmods add more. That's a lot. And there are still plenty of ideas (for instance I'm working on a modmod that adds a new civ). Or I'd organize it better, maybe by making multiple topics, a discussion topic and a story topic, or something like that.

Well, I'm attempting to make this so that everyone with other priorities will still be able to affect the continental stuff while still allowing for interesting stories. Does anyone have any ideas how I can do that?

A week will be two months in Mazera time. This can be negotiable to 6 months.

I'm thinking about doing those "Major World Updates" on Sunday.

The map will be updated on Wednesday and on Sunday with the major update

There will be small updates, but only a limited amount per week.

There will be 8 war updates a week, which includes declaring war, peace, assassination, and that kinda stuff.

If one of your stories involves the capture of one of the enemy's cities, send me a PM after you post it to find out if it was successful. I will be 100% objective on this.

And there will still be small updates like Goblin attacks, riots, stuff for you to just deal with for a while. Doesn't affect you in the global scale, but it could begin to be a larger problem if not taken care of. This mostly goes for the people who have "adopted" a civ like Tasunke and darksaber1.

I still urge people to take on a civ, though, you can write about any civ, character, or whatever you want as long as it fits in the realm of Mazera. :)

Sound good?

That sounds good cypher :) What I meant by fast paced was, if was away for a few days and came back to check on the thread there's already been about 10 updates  it's hard to keep track of sometimes, I have a lot of fun writing stories for the thread though :goodjob:

I hope you continue. I'm just trying to make it easier for people to actually become involved. Like, I want to be able to entertain people and more people that participate, the more fun it is. I'd like the lurkers to post in this and vote, too. It'll really help me. I'm trying to fine-tune it. :)

Ok, I'm gonna ask a quick question because I want to make some nations more interesting. Which nation should suffer a revolution?

It was interesting. However, I had trouble keeping up with it, and figuring out what was going on where at what time. Adding in a timeframe would make it easier in some ways, but it could also reduce the ability of writers to add to the story.

As for adding stories to the thread, with how far it has gone already, it is difficult to keep track of everything and not interfering with storylines other people were trying to develop. Case in point - opera and capturing jonas endain. It is kind of intimidating trying to add something to the story, simply because it IS a story, and it really sucks when you add something that doesn't fit, or that someone else countermands with another story.

I've actually noticed you reading it. I would gladly assist you in this. Just send me a PM with your concerns and I'll be glad to help you out. :goodjob:

Yes, I fell off the wagon on that one. It was part Opera's fault for not reading the previous posts, part thomas.berubeg's for not checking with the Ngomele, and partly my fault for making sure it was ok with both. We'll attempt to avoid all that from now on. I'm compiling all this stuff on my computer to attempt to keep it straight.

Wow, this is the first time I have seen this thread. :p

I've seen it, but its built up so much that'd I'd have to spend a day or two reading it all just to catch up, and I'd rather spend my last days of summer hanging out :p
