[mod] Warlords: Total Realism 2.3a

Ok, just did some reading on this, Vista 64 is able to allocate up to 4 GB to 32 bit apps (which is their maximum due to being 32 bit), unlike the 32 bit variants or XP, which can at most allocate 2 GB to one app.

So, yes, there should not be any MAF, at least it would happen a lot later than on 32 bit OSes.

The most radical solution to the problem is switching to 64 bit OS. They have no MAFs at all.

As for modifying boot.ini, have you also modified warlords.exe so it can handle more memory? Otherwise, you won't see any benefit from the ini tweak.

Ok... I not sure how to do that. If you know I would appreciate it. I wanna finish a game... lol

Your mod is nice, but some problems with Japan.
Your mod is "total realism", but your ancient Japanese units look like ashigaru from the 14-16th century. Japan's early units should be closer to Korea's and China's.
Also, China's medieval units look too much like their ancient. Asia's armor also evolved, it didn't stay the same for 1000s of years.

Trying to improve that bit. And you'll probably see quite a bit of improvement in the next version.

BTW, guys, did I mention it is coming really soon? Bar any unexpected disasters, you will be playing it by the end of April. :)

If you need any advice about Japan, or Asia. Please PM me

Sure. You must understand, though, that in many cases (like the above mentioned early Japanese units) the decision is made on what is available, not on what is most appropriate. For China and Japan, for example, we'll be using many of these units:

I am sure that not all of them are 100% accurate - but it is the best we can get, and it is certainly much better than nothing.

Guys,

We are under heavy tests.:scan: We still met one major problem with one of our new system. As soon as it will be solved, i think we will ready for a release.

You will be surprised (i hope :p) by the vast amount of changes we made. Many new units, some new and improved buildings, some civics changes too..... many new things ! :D

I know some of you are waiting for a release since..... oups.... a long time. It will come, it will come... don't worry ! We were busy in our private life (children, exams, job, etc).

Guys,

Heavy tests are still going on. The major bug seems to be removed. :D Now, we are tuning all that need to be tuned, such as pedias, strategy text, etc. Some minors problems need to be corrected too.
Then, we will give it to you...

Hello All,

As you know, i have said that we were close to a final release of TR Warlords 2.3.
And i think it's now ready :D. Walter, Houman, Mexico and I have tested, updated, tuned,... all the last days. :scan:
Maps also were reworked.

Mexico will begin in the next days the compilation of all the files. I hope we will release it this week or week-end.
