230(0)- I have a look around. The Hittites are not near our cities yet, so I will wait before signing peace.
REVOLUTION. I draw 4 turns of anarchy. Sounds good to me.
IBT- Tenochtitlan (Aztec) builds ToA
Huttusas (Hittite) builds SoZ
An Incan city's borders has expanded bringing 2 more of our cities into the flip risk category. I will have to attack soon.
210(1)- zzz (Some worker moves, waiting out the anarchy period).
IBT- Babylon (Babylonian) builds HG
Chichen Itza (Mayan) builds MoM
190(2)/170(3)- zzz
IBT- We are a Republic! All of our enemies will now talk. I now have no fear about triggering a GA, so I will continue with the wars.
150(4)- Luxuries to 10%, Science to 20%, 18 turns, -2gpt.
I decide to rush the temple in Antium for 128g.
IBT- Antium, Temple > Legion
130(5)- zzz
IBT- Cumae, Legion > Legion
Pompeii, Catapult > Catapult
110(6)- Legion defeats Hittite sword > GOLDEN AGE! Science to 40%.
Barb camp dispersed in the S of the island.
I declare war on the Incans and move my forces into their territory.
IBT- Rome, Legion > Legion
Veii, Settler > Legion
Neapolis, Harbour > Barracks
90(7)- Lugdunum founded > Worker
Legion attacks Vilcabamba and dies. The second wins and it is auto-razed. It just built a settler and I didn't want to wait 10 turns for it to grow. 3 slaves captured.
Rome switched to settler.
IBT- Incan horse defeats our archer.
Lots of Incan archers on the move towards us.
70(8)- Warrior defeats an Incan horse threatening our cities.
IBT- Hittite sword defeats 1 legion, another sword dies.
Rome, Settler > Legion
Veii, Legion > Legion
Viroconium, Worker > Barracks
50(9)- Lutetia founded > Worker
IBT- American warrior lands next to Neapolis.
Antium, Legion > Legion
Cumae, Legion > Legion
Neapolis, Barracks > Legion
Pompeii, Catapult > Catapult
Pisae, Catapult > Catapult
Ravenna, Catapult > Worker
30(10)- Legion defeats an archer and is promoted to elite.
Elite archer attacks settler pair and defeats the spear. 2 slaves captured. No leader.
Notes:
The settler N of Rome in the stack is ready to settle next turn. The stack can then move E.
Antium is undefended to attract Incan units out of the mountains.
Rome is MM'ed for Legion in 1. Switch to grass next turn to resume growth.
Literature in 2.
Unit support is 60gpt.
The American warrior will take the undefended Neapolis next turn if we don't act. We need to sign peace with them. I didn't do anything as it is bad form to make deals on the last turn of a SG.
I didn't get peace earlier as I was hoping someone would pick up Currency first, but they haven't.
Suggested peace deal sequence:
Hittites: Peace + Construction + 243g for Republic
America: Peace + Monarchy + 63g for Republic
France: Peace + 40g
Babylon: They are too far away. No need for a peace deal.
Or you could try to use gold to get peace instead of giving away the Republic.
Once we kill the Incan surplus units, our Legions should walk all over them. That war should last at least the rest of our GA. Hopefully we can get a few cities in that time.
Roster:
DBear - up next
Formula51 - on deck
soul warrior
jb1964
Zakharov - just played
@DBear, as you were unable to let us know why you couldn't play, you can take the next set of 10.
I have edited my post in the registry thread to say the roster is full.
