More Psycho-babble from Pat Robertson

Robertson is far more dangerous because the dunderheads that worship him like a hillbilly Ayatollah, actually vote.

Robertson is a joke, plain and simple, and he sounds much like the 15th century Roman Catholic church in that his answer for everything is either God did it or God will do it. If he loves God so bloody much he ought to do the Big Man a favor and take himself off the air.
His show is on after one of my wife's shows. When she goes to bed and leaves the TV on, I get to hear it from the living room. Pat Robertson is neat. He's like your drunk uncle at a family gathering. You're not sure what hes going to say, it's going to make no sense whatsoever and it's going to offend half of the people within earshot.

LEAVE HIM ON THE AIR. Television is entertainment. You can't always see baboons on TV, but you can always get the 700 club.

I don't see how those guys are any worse than Pat. For all his loopiness, I don't see Sharpton calling out for the assasination of world leaders or celebrating the death of them when it happens by more natural causes...

I see your point. Pat is a more rabid fundy. He is so wrong on Sharron but has a tempting view on Hugo, I mean would the world be better off with out him....... maybe. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Sharpton on a 4 hour flight and hes a preaty cool dude.

As a christian, it pains me when this guy says things like that. Pat does not speak for me as a christian and I am convinced that he has become senile with the crazy things he says. His age has affected him to where he has lost his ability to think before he speaks - if he ever had it to begin with.

I would humbly ask that people not lump all us christians right in with Pat. He should have just said that he was aware of the situation and would pray for Sharon's health and Israel as a nation. That would have been well received.

I realy don't think any one here believes Pat speaks for 99% of christians.

But there still are many people who seems to like him, or else he wouldn't be on air or even be so 'famous'.

A four hour flight with Sharpton? That would be awesome! He certainly doesn't hold the same political views as me, but he's such an interesting personality I'm sure I would be star-struck the entire flight!

I'm certain nobody here (or most other places, I hope) would think that Robertson speaks for all christians, or even US christians. I certianly don't!

Pat Robertson speaks for himself, the viewers nutty enough to beleive him, and the voices in his head that he seems to think is God...

Yeah. I don't like Jesse Jackson or Louis Farrakhan at all, but I quite like Sharpton these days. He's toned himself down quite a bit in the past ten years or so. Still lots of left-wing ideas and strong rhetoric, but not so much with the race-baiting anymore.

I generally frown upon fanatics on either side of an issue. They tend to make everyone look bad and they don't represent the majority of anyone.

You're right. Leaders who donate heating oil to thousands of poor Americans can be allowed to remain in power. Obviously the next step in spreading global democracy is to overthrow democratically elected leaders.

Given that you share similar views on homosexuals and muslims, I don't see how you expect not to be lumped in with Robertson.

But you're right, I won't lump Christians in with Robertson.

Only one of those is not a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

I'm pretty sure your government (and mine, for that matter) purchases weapons (or makes them) and is buddy/buddy with some unsavory characters (Saudi Arabia)

Gee, thanks for the veiled insult. Regardless of what you think, I dont hate homosexuals at all anymore than I would hate someone else for the sin in their life.

As for the Muslims....well, if both of us are captured by islamic terrorists, do you really think you would keep your head anymore than I would?

LOL. And any day now we'll find out he's been spying on American citizens.

Oh... wait...

Did I get this right?

You hate people for their sins and associate all Muslims with with terrorists.

If so, you're sounding more like Pat in every post.

I can't believe I'm reading this.

On the one hand, you ask that people not assume that Robertson speaks for all Christians, and in the very same thread, you associate all Muslims will Islamic terrorists?!?

My hypocrisy node just overloaded.

Sigh. People's ability to knee jerk at the drop of a hat just simply amazes me. I never, ever have said "all muslims are terrorists". No, absolutely no, I dont think that all Muslims are terrorists, however, just like a muslim journalist wrote not long ago, I do think that today most terrorists are muslim.

Also, you misread (most likely purposely as well) what I meant about sinners and sin. I dont hate the person, but I speak out against the sin. If you are unable to see how that works, then oh well.

I'll take you at your word, but you may want to brush up on your English.

Note that you do not qualify the word Muslims in any way. Lack of a qualifier implies Muslims as a whole. You then compare the group you label as simply Muslims to Islamic terrorists.

If you don't want people to misinterpret you, try phrasing your sentences a little more carefully.
