Although this new dynasty has chosen to end the clientage agreement with us, we still wish to have good relations with them as they are the true successors to the Byzantine Empire. And the Spammers' Crusade in the vent of Papal aggression would clearly intervene in favour of Byzantium.

Not that that would ever happen thanks to the recently signed concordat of understanding and co-operation between Byzantium and the Papal States, which incidentally includes a commitment to non-agression as part of a defensive pact .

In light of the Spammer Crusades aggressive international agenda, and known tendency to use economic warfare against those who inpede its geostrategic desire for domination of the middle east we felt it our duty to offer our benevolent allegiance (formerly accessible by the Spammers Crusade before their ideological turn for the worse) to the Byzantine Empire.

We have noted the great amount of land we own, including half of Australia. We are a empire, league with the Pope who is above emperors.

The 2nd Rome should stick with the 4th Rome who is watched by God. As for the Spammers... they are not favoured by the Church of God.

That is a problem: "bad" and "evil" is a subjectivity. To Stalin the people he executed were evil. To Hitler the Allies were evil. Evil is a subjective term. The principle of respecting the domestic rights of nations and the need of avoiding the UN from hindering the rights of nations is a objective stance that the Papal States follow. As such the idea of "giving legitimacy" is a false notion for war is a political instrument that is in the hands of the state, not some organisation of the weak. Hence you are proving to be a ideological threat to the stability of the world.

The only part of the British Isles not belonging to the United Kingdom of the Netherlands-Scotland are Ireland and the Isle of Man., and central Europe and Norway are also territories of the UK. We are vehement enemies of the Manx, who insist on declaring themselves emperors without an empire.

Emperor Andreas did not have a good morning, when he discovered that a certain faction of the Imperial Bureaucracy still favors the Spammers crusade. Although he stated that he isnt surprised. Byzantine foreign policy did take a complete 180 in a very short time.

It's one thing to do something in response to a completely inexplicably-done event. It is another to do something lacking no evidence whatsoever. Regardless of suspicions, punishing an entire nation lacking any kind if evidence of war crime or injustice is adverse to what international law stands for. It certainly isn't illegal, but punishing a nation for something that they might not even had a part of does nothing to prevent war as the HITSGDP (and the completely biased UN you're trying to institute) seems to advocate. On the contrary, I want nothing to do with friendly relations with the Spammers because you're so rediculously and baselessly aggressive to any nation that so much as wants to be neutral, if the new UN proposal is any indicator.
