Multipolarity III - Signups

Us spammers vote for the new system, it's a bold new step in what could be awesome.

You post a sign-up thread when you don't even have the rules finished?!

Niewe.

I've no idea what that means.

And since it's gonna be a month at least until this launches in all likelihood, it wouldn't be that hard to adjust the rules BEFORE the game begins.

Dutch for 'new', ya fruit. :p

Canadian Political Parties

Conservative Party of Canada

Description: Essentially like the US Republican Party. Supports low taxes, more interventionism, anti-abortion rights, anti-gay marriage, pro-traditional values, exc.

Percentage of population: 35%

Social Democratic Party

Description: Supports a more socially liberal and economically progressive platform and prefers a less heavy handed policy on crime and on foreign policy. Supports liberal abortion laws, gay marriage legalized, soft drugs legal, somewhat weaker military, and more redistribution of wealth to the lower classes.

Percentage of Population: 35%

Canadian Nationalist Party

Somewhere between the two major parties on economic issues, but socially authoritarian and supporter of strong military and neoconservative foreign policy. Coalition of moderate nationalists, moderate fascists, and outright pro-Hitler neo-nazis.

Percentage of population: 5%, although at least half oppose their "Nazi" program but want a strong internationalist party.

Christian Democratic Party

Economically moderate left, supporter of social conservatism, generally does not see the Conservatives as either compassionate or socially conservative enough so they are the "Compassionate Conservative" party. Supportive of some wealth distribution, although less so than the social democrats, and stricter laws on social behavior than the mainstream Conservative Party.

Percentage of Population: 10%

Libertarian Party

Self-explanatory, supportive of liberty above all other political values, anti-government intervention in just about everything.

Percentage of population: 10% but split between moderates and hardcore like the CNP.

Minor Parties: These parties are major enough to get into the PR-House but are of little importance once there.

The Red Party

Authoritarian Communists.

The Anarchist Party- anarcho-communists.

Populist Party- "With the people, against the elites". Dead-center since they don't really have any political views.

Quebec Independence Party- This party doesn't really have any political views except to fight for Quebec's independence.

And for each party's average position on the political compass:

Perhaps if the Conservatives and Libertarians form a coalition we will join you:)

The President himself will likely be middle of the road since either the two major parties would have to agree or one major party would have to coalition with like all the minor parties at the same time. Neither of which is very likely.

We'll probably see a President somewhere in the ballpark of -1 to +2 on the Political Compass economic scale, and a -1 or so on the social scale.

Reserving Germany-South/EastBaltic area. Will have a map in like seven hours.

Actually, reserving Canada/Alaska region.

Well I was gonna go canada, but seeing that you wrote all that I'd feel like a douche kicking you out...

Tibet is looking empty, and with all the frigidness of the roof of the world Im sure you could transplant some Canadians there. They should be right at home once they acclimatise to oxygen deprivation :p

No go to Tibet!
