United Communism
International rancor has followed a remark by the American ambassador to the Union of Nations for the following remark on the Munich Monetary Aid Organization's operations:
"And now we see what happens to nations like Aragon and Kirov whom follow the communist economic ways of Chicago. Let this be a lesson for them to become capitalists, for they wouldn't be begging for aid if they weren't communists."
Several communist and socialist nations have issued a joint statement, drafted by Caracas, the world's wealthiest communist country:
"The New Americans repeat the self-serving fallacies of prior centuries. While the superiority of our system may not be self-evident, we know one thing that is: the inability to feed one's people tends to greatly accelerate the tendency towards revolution. Whereas our system is based off solidarity between people, the capitalist system is based off of money; let us see how well it holds up when oligarchs no longer have any resources to bribe the working masses."
Caracas added salt with the wound:
"For a system that's so inferior, we are perplexed why we possess an economy over thrice the size of yours."
Caracas, Peru, Kirov, Volgograd, Morocco, Namibia, Somalia, Swaziland, Tamil and Australia have all issued an embargo against New America in light of its ideologically-charged remarks. The group barring Australia (non-Communist Eastralia vetoed the measure) have also forged the COMECON, pledging 1% of their incomes to the organisation to assist in developing weaker members' economies. Aragon and Puerto Rico, already embargoing New America due to the war, have also signed onboard. The focus was kept on economics despite a controversial proposal to announce moral support for the Syndicates.
Let the Embargo Times Roll
Syndicates embargoed by: Rhineland, Denmark, Colombia, Guyana, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bohemia, Petrograd, Cape Verde, Congo
Leth embargoed by: Rhineland, Denmark, Colombia, Guyana, Ecuador, Venezuela, Petrograd, Cape Verde
New America embargoed by: Finland, Sweden, Bohemia, Volgograd, Cape Verde, Congo, Gabon, Hindustan
Iceland-Norway embargoed by: Bohemia, Volograd, Cape Verde, Congo, Gabon, Hindustan
While Kirov wishes to remain on good terms with the Syndicates, it cannot maintain such close ties to a state that tears up its own agreements; the full alliance has been terminated.
